As in by August? That would be a fucking huge boost if so. I'd be a lot more optimistic having a fully fit Sturridge available going in against any side. As far as I'm concerned when he's fit he's one of the best strikers in the league.

That initial run of away games we have is horrific. Whats worse is Rodgers record against those sides away from home is poor. I can see a situation by the time Sturridge is fit to play we'll have a new manager in place.

Jones is utter shite I agree and whenever he played I used to be a nervous wreck, but in fairness he played at wembely for us when we beat the blueshite and actually did well. Itandje was both a knob head and a shite goal keeper to boot so the question is how can you not vote for Itandje?

Pretty sure I remember reading on here before that Itandje turned up for training on his first day without boots. Along with acting the twat at the hillsborough memorial service there is only one option.

I can see us playing City in our first 3 matches. (Most likely with Sterling in their side) Its vital we get a good start to next season with a few wins on the board. If we start with an early defeat and a couple of draws I can see Rodgers position becoming untenable pretty quickly.

Not too sure how clued up he is but David Anderson in the Mirror put up a couple of days ago that Rodgers has a limited transfer budget. I'd say a lot of what is going to be spent on transfers will have to be generated by sales. Hopefully I'm wrong and FSG will splash the cash regardless of Sterling going or staying but I can't see it myself.

The way I see it is if we get a decent fee for Sterling we'll be in a position to buy a striker for big money. If we don't sell him we'll probably be starting the season with Origi and Ings until Strurridge comes back.

haha this is actually very true. If we got 30 million for sterling and got to reinvest it we'd make a balls of it. If we got 100 million we'd do the same.

He's shown glimpses in some matches he has something about him and a run of games in his right position would help him. There's certainly more than enough other dross in our squad we need to move on first before him.

The transfer situation is a bit of a grey area as to who is responsible for signings. There was an article in the echo a few months ago that had Rodgers down as pushing through both Lovern and Lallana. Lovern is our most expensive defender in the clubs history and is a terrible player. Lallana I like as a player but Rodgers spent 25 million on him spent all last summer wanting to get him signed up and he doesn't know where to play him. He's played him as a wing back in a front 3 in a midfield 3, literally all over the place and hooks him off early in matches regardless of how he's performing. Add that to the clueless & gutless football we played for the last few weeks of the season is enough reason for a change for me.

Even a couple of weeks later I'm still pissed off how we performed in gerrards last 2 matches for the club. The players and the manager threw in the towel for finishing 4th when Utd beat us a couple of months back. Utd did everything to give us a chance to take 4th from them as they were not very good in the run in. The lack of a coherent plan and the players not being motivated is all on Rodgers for me the points return for our last 10-12 league matches was nothing short of horrific. I can't stomach any more inept gutless performances I want Rodgers gone as he's shown in those league matches he doesn't know how to solve the problems we have. He doesn't even know what our best 11 is or our best formation. He spent all last summer trying to sign lalllana (who I like as a player) and he doesn't know where to play him, he's tried him as a fucking wing back at times. How can a manager pics so hard to sign a player for 25millon quid and have no idea where he wants him to play? I just have no faith in Rodgers getting the best out of our squad of players anymore and judging for from last season the players don't have that faith either.

couldnt agree more. the signing of Balotelli alone is enough for heads to roll on our joke of a transfer committee.
