Darwin was easily the best of our starting front three. Direct, decisive and no fucking about. Great run and cut back from Mo’s pass in the first half when Grav and Diaz just stood there. Their set up would have suited Gakpo in the first half - much better at playing intricate stuff against a low block than the others. Interesting that he didn’t play that false 9 role when he came on - played a lot off the left and looked quick and a handful. He probably benefitted from tired legs as Harvey tends to.

Virgil, Konate, Quansah and Gomez before him I suspect. I love Joel but it’s hard to make a case to keep him. Quansah seems to share his attribute of being able to carry the ball out of defence, which is the thing that Matip has always done to improve us.

He was first choice on merit at the start of the season. But Quansah has a lot of his attributes (apart from the height) and he really would be 5th choice at best

I like De Zerbi, but he has a better line on potent South American profit than Propositiin Joe. Anything we do from hereon in is a massive punt, given that Don Carlo is contracted for 2 more years. Gut feeling is that De Zerbi is the least worst option.
