i agree with a lot of what you have put in the above. but your wrong in my opinion about mourinho not taking the job here because hed get more elsewhere. yes he might but that doesnt mean he wouldnt come here. funny though it seems many people will take a lower paid job especially when they are already fabulously wealthy. ive even done it myself although im not claiming to be wealthy. you also got to factor in people like mourinho can easily treble any wage they get via sponsorship deals they may sign. mourinho got a fabulous amount of money from his credit card endorsement in the UK. there would be plenty of avenues for him to dwarf any salary from us via this route. people need to think outside the straightjacket of lowly paid employee jobs.

alonso would have stayed here longer had rafa not tried to sell him to fund the barry transfer. most people would recognice that as being 'forced out' or even constructive dismissal.

The period we are talking about is from when the story of him wanting to join barcelona broke to argentina's qualification for the wc. do you not see the connection? what im saying is that people who say its ok to give their all for their country but not others is plain stupid. ive also said if you are being consistent saying its ok for any player mascherano or gerrard whatever to give their all for their country above their club thats ok. what i am saying is if you or anyone else says its ok for mascherano to give everything to his country ahead of liverpool but its not ok for gerrard to do the same, then you or they are being unreasonable. hang your hat on whichever you want. my attitude is and always has been if a player wants to leave liverpool he does so on our terms. my opinion is mascherano has been and is angling for a move to another club with his preference being barcelona. I hope we screw them into the ground regarding a fee but our position is weakened due to the remaining length of his contract.

hed be in direct breach of his contract with us if there were any direct quotes unless it was to deny the story.. Are there any direct quotes of him saying its bollocks and he has strictly ordered his agent not to have contact with barcelona? must have missed them.

providing you maintain that consistent outlook towards any of our players including gerrard i respect your opinion. but if you are saying its ok for mascherano to give 110% for argentina and anything less for his club when we have needed him but youd be critical of gerrard in the same position is warped.

i dont think it fair or reasonable to treat one player one way and another differently. fact of the matter however you want to dress it up is mascherano has put argentina ahead of his employer who rescued his career from west ham..

surprises me people still arent with the programme despite this being in the news since before the start of the season this is the player that gave all to our cause even when argentina were in danger of not qualifying for the WC? and now argentina have qualified so he can concentrate on us. ffs if that had of been gerrard hed be crucified on the high alter of playing for england rather than care about liverpool.

Sorry I dont know whos filled your head with this permit shit. unless she is a person with a serious criminal record and would therfore be barred from entry even if she did need a permit. she doesnt need a permit to be in the UK with her husband. Its a non story cos permits dont work like that. she may need a work permit is she wanted to work here which i seriously doubt. she does not need a permit to reside in the uk with her husband.

as she was here with her husband, she doesnt need a permit to stay in the UK. the story put out about mascherano first wanting to leave was due to his wife being unable to settle in Liverpool. personally i think that was just crap.

well just fuck off then mascherano you weaselly shithead. in his head he hasnt been here since the end of last season. first it was the barcelona interest then it was argentina may not qualify for the world cup. one of two good performances is all weve seen this season. rafas biggest mistake was not selling him before this season and getting £35m or more for him.

just paper talk to get arsenal to offer him a new contract. they wouldnt let him join us for 10 mill anyhow even if his contract had 12 months to run.

discounting the 85 final i think dalglish's 87-88 team would have won a european cup. after dalglish left neither souness or evans produced a title winning side so wouldnt have qualified for the competition.

hes a very sporting man who recognised the injustice we were faced with. unlike the snidey bastards at everton, the premier league and fa who at best used our victory to get 5 english teams in the competition and at worst were intent on ignoring the spanish fas treatment of real madrid in a similar position and prevent us defending what every right minded person just knew should be a given.

massive mistake by houllier not to sign anelka. no gaurantee hed still be here though as rafa would probably have sold him to finance some more no mark squad buys. great result for france too away from home.

You keep ignoring rafa has had over 220 million quid to spend. someone has posted mourinho paid our 60 million one season and 90 million the next. thats 150m. or put another way 80 million less than rafa. look it doesnt matter if rafa had a net spend of 200 million. he WOULDNT win the title in england. his tactics and team selection would see to it. you know it i know it we all know it. so just admit it. you ignore the team rafa won the cl with has systematically sold off and replaced with worse players with one or two exceptions. 220 million all virtually spent since 2005 , what is to show for it? a team in about 7th place lagging 11 points behind chelsea who have had 3 managers in the last couple of seasons. come on take me back home someone.

3 players out of a squad of how many. and dont foeget Real and Barcelona werent pulling up trees in the league either. face facts if rafa went back to spain he wouldnt win the title. Real would give him one two seasons max before sacking him off. barcelona wouldnt stand for his boring tactics so they wont offer him the chance.
