I want to start here by reiterating I think Trump is a fucking buffoon and I have no doubt he’s as dodgy as fuck. But I’ve listened to that again as HL suggested and there’s no way there’s evidence (currently in the public domain) that he’s done anything impeachable. sure there are accusations and investigations ongoing but now he’s in the clear. He has to have committed an act, not just been a cunt or thought cunty things. The abuse of Presidential power is the key. Going after Muslims? Theres an attempt to stop people from certain countries to get in to America but that’s not a Muslim ban. Remember this is a nuclear option and going to the House of Reps with anything other than a water tight case would be a disaster and probably make him untouchable.

Proving it may be. Listen to the last 10 mins of Waking Up with Cass Sunstein this week, he lays out the process and what is and isn’t impeachable. It has to be difficult so an unpopular President can’t be jettisoned.

But they have to prove he’s abused the power of the President, that’s not easy to do. Even him committing a crime isn’t enough. That’s what takes the time. Him being a cunt or unpopular isn’t enough.

Impeachment is an incredibly long and drawn out process. It’s not happening any time soon.

Went for lunch yesterday and got chatting to the owner. He said it’s been mental since the review and they’ve never been busier. Tuesdays used to be his quietest day but there were still 4 tables going at 2pm. Only had a steak with lemongrass sarnie but it was lovely. Deffo returning with the wife.
