I dont think CM01/02 is better its just a personal preference. The latest FM's are a bit too in-depth for me. The older CM's are more "playable". By that, I mean you can actually complete a season without having to control things like hiring a caretaker because nobody's been cleaning the changing rooms after home games. The later FM games are too much for me. As I say, personal preference.

The team who do the updates dont create any cheat players. All of the data is updated, even to the point of league structure and competition changes i.e. Premier League, Championship, Football League 1 and 2. Also, Champions League and Uefa format is current as is the fabulous Fernando Torres!

It is if your like Rafa and like fine details. I highly recommend downloading the free legal copy of Championship Manager 01/02 and the downloading the 'Tapani September 2008' update from here Patches - Championship Manager 2001/2002 Forums. This update/patch changes everything so that all players are at their correct clubs and most of the player/club histories etc are all up to date. All the instructions are on that site too.

Without wanting to turn this into another 'Babel Bashing' thread, the poor lad doesn't know what to do in posession. Probably because he has little or no confidence. Even against lower opposition its noticeable how hard we work to get the ball back. Even when it woud be easier to throw your hands in the air and say WTF when someone has fucked up - we dont we work like fuck, great quality to have.
