Regarding Carroll? I think he's more than a "Player from Wimbledon" Numero Veinticinco; A Lot more in fact. He's recently when given the chance & support he Needs to be effective? Shown some footwork & hold-up ability to equal at least Crouch & that's? From the off - Crouch had to develop his over time here remember? I think when Carroll develops that 'Holdup' aspect of His game? He'll be a beast & unstoppable. Further as well as emulating some of Crouch's best footwork in a way we thought he couldn't at times & putting in some Very good crosses as well showing an allround footballing awareness Many don't attribute to him? Complete reactionary misreading of things if you ask me & Not for the First time no? Fact is Kenny is dealing mostly with the guts of the club & the First team itself going from quality enough to supply more than Half the two teams in the last World Cup Final? To barely good enough to win one League Game in Four at Home never mind 2 or 3 in a row in the space of what? 2 seasons flat? In attempting to Reverse that thus far? The bulk of the transfers Kenny has made since his return? Were mostly with the odd exception of the likes of Coates, Bellamy & Suarez were (though very different in price tag relating the mess Man City have made of the market of late with 'market' prices massively inflated OTT) still nonetheless similar to many of Rafa's first tranfers in the likes of Luis Garcia, Josemi, Momo Sissoko, Morientes & Pellegrino; In short? Kenny brought in 'bodies' to fill out the squad which was basically dying on it's feet in terms of numbers before the season began as IIRR? We sold or shipped out something like 4 players for every 1 (and most of them not very good) that we brought in at the backend of the regime of the twin vampires. The squad still needs a massive overhaul to even return the First 11 to something like the strength Rafa' had it at in 08/09 & even that took him Four seasons to reach & that's without mentioning the small matters of our squad strength which has been woeful for decades now & finding the right mental mental attitude in so-called 'small' league games which has been completely non-existent from our club (never mind our first team) since around 1991. Roughly the team I expected - A mixture of youth & experience which provided we make no mistakes? Has More than enough to win the game - Would of liked to see Luis involved to build on his hat-trick & further shoot down the myth he's not a regular goal-scorer in the PL but needs must & the Cup Final is rightly put first - So Carroll & Kuyt it is. Suarez was & is Four Times the player Torres is - If he follows in the footsteps of Torres himself & Van Persie more recently after acclimatising here by adding consistent finishing & regular goals to his game?
