  1. Aye, we've been buying up all the local pensioners.
  2. Nothing to do with being in the fun and laughter police, just today is a day of remeberance and mourning for lost brothers and sisters, not a day to celebrate life. You can do that tomorrow.
  3. Be interesting to see what happens when Fergie leaves. One bad managerial appointment and they could implode, especially with the Glazers still there and escaping critcism thanks to their recent success. It will be difficult for any manager with that shadow hanging over him. Hopefully they make a sentimental choice and go for Steve Bruce.
  4. That should apply to any other day than today, surely?
  5. I've been hearing the same excuses for 18 years. We're always one attacking full back away from the league, or something like that. You can have the best attacking options in the world, including maurading full backs, but you still have to build the foundations and instil a winning mentality and approach, which, unfortunately, is what we've lacked over the years, despite having plenty of great attacking talent.
  6. All top sides have squad players. I think the lad just wants a team of galacticos, which doesn't always equal success. Our lack of league success has been more about mentality, attitude and approach than any real issue with players and transfers. That's been the case for 18 years.
  7. Not Scottish I know, but is there any chance Paul Anderson will be coming back to the club? He's impressed me everytime I've seen him play.
  8. I've seen him plenty of times and he's nothing like him. If anything he's more like Lucas. But better, obviously.
  9. Why don't you just say who instead of playing the cryptic hero? I don't find anyone on here weird. They might have different views but it doesn't make them weird. At least they're contributing and not just sniping from the sidelines.
  10. I think that's something we're just going to have to get used to from now on with any owner. It's been that way for years anyway, just not so blatant.
  11. What a weirdly random post. Doing well in Italy by all accounts.
  12. I'm not saying anything, but it's a possibility isn't it? If we trust Rafa do we then trust Hicks?
  13. I've been reading forums and opinions for month, and I don't need them to form my own views. Most people on them just talk utter shite anyway, even if they think they're an expert on the subject, and just react to every media report. I am actually Tom Hicks and will be taking over the club first thing Monday.
  14. DIC sound a bit flakey to me. Not sure I'd like to be owned by a 'company' anyway. Who actually runs DIC and who would run the club if they took over?
  15. Forget it. It's pointless. For the record, I don't think he's a worthy owner and would rather anyone else, but that still doesn't mean I form my judgements on media speculation and a few self serving splinter groups. He's done plenty wrong, but most of it in my eyes is down to his huge gob, and the others have escaped a lot of the flak because of that. I expect we'll see you at the 'Hicks and Rafa out' rally when he takes full control of the club?
  16. No, you're not, thankfully, but that doesn't mean you can talk to me anyway you like.
  17. What PR campaign? I haven't got a clue what I'm going on about probably, I'm just trying to make some sense of this whole mess. There's too many fingers in too many pies for me to trust any of them, and I feel uncomfortable with the majority just pinning the blame on Hicks. Something just not right there.
  18. Nice post. Agree 100%. No one is going to come out of this with any credit, especially the legions of fans who fuel the soap opera.
  19. Who are you talking to mate? You're so convinced that you're view is right, you tell me.
