AFC Liverpool will be a hosting ‘A Night with Nicky Allt’ at 8pm on Thursday 4th December. The event will take place at The Casa, Hope Street, and will cost just £4 on the door. Nicky Allt is the man behind the book ‘Here we go gathering cups in May’ and the author of ‘Boys from the Mersey’ along with many others. He is a playwriter, an author and also an avid Liverpool fan. Highly respected by many Liverpool fans throughout the country, Nicky is also a founder members of Spirit of Shankly, and also is on the Steering Group for ‘Share Liverpool FC’. On the night, there is also going to be an auction which will see a signed ball and a signed shirt, sold off to the highest bidder. A raffle will also be held, which will raise some money for the club.

we don't need a director of football at Liverpool, and i'd be loath to see one installed above Rafa as some kind of owners puppet. Rafa has an obsessive knowledge of football and players, he oversees the first team, ressies, the academy and the scouting network. He decides on our transfer targets. That is the way it should be. He came to LFC because he would be allowed and trusted with that level of control, to implement a long term strategy, to be a manager. NOT a coach. What we DO desperately need is a chief executive who is competent and ruthless in securing the players Rafa wants. Parry isn't it. Such a structure isn't condusive to allowing a manager time or full control to implement his plans. It is condusive to a coach implementing the Clubs plans or the owners wishes. Roman withdrew financial support, maureen had another strop, then was a goner. Grant was always a placeholder till a more established coach was available to take over. whenever Grant's name came up on TV it never said 'chelsea manager' always 'chelsea head coach.'
