  1. Clueless in defence, clueless in attack. A stationary midfield not knowing wtf to do with the ball. makes you wander what the hell they do in training all week. Keepy-uppies and football tennis apparently. I strongly believed in Brendan but this is the last drop. Time to pack your bags and fuck off.
  2. What a f***ing load of rubbish!! With a defence like that we deserve to win f**k all.
  3. That's it. Time for Benitez to pack his bag and get out. I've supported him for a long time, but the dross served up today just confirmed that he has to go. A defence without a clue how to defend, no game-plan what so ever - it's just not good enough. And stop blaming the owners. The fact is he's taken the club many steps backwards this season. It was his descision to sell Xabi, our best player by a mile last season, and without him the brains gone out of the team. His stubbornness forced Paco out before that, and now see what we are left with. The players look unfit, unable to controll the ball and clueless to what to do when they finally managed to get controll. And who't to blame? Rafa and his staff. We had 9 internationals out there from the start - players with proven quality, but Reading looked a far better team and deserved the win. The responcibility lies with the manager. He is obviously not able to get the bet out of the players, hence his time is up.:wallbutt:
  4. I watched both of Marseilles qualifying matches against Brann (0-1(a) and 2-1(h)) Their midfield looked decent with Ben Arfa and Cheyrou in command and Nyang and Kone up front were also quite impressive. However their defense looked far from convincing. Bad communication and no pace. Especially in Marseille they were really troubled by a weak Brann team who only lost due to two major goalkeeping errors. Their midfield never seemed bothered to track back when they lost possession. Will be plenty of space for us counter attacking if they continue the same way they’ve started the season. If we can maintain the standard we showed last weekend I can see us winning quite comfortably. Btw – Ben Arfa signed from Lyon this summer as replacement for Nasri
  5. That’s our Bruno all right. His younger brother Benoit played in the Marseille midfield by the way.
  6. Btw his new career includes sheepfarmer and salmon fishing Vegard Heggem and Aunan AS offer exclusive salmon fishing in the Orkla and Gaula rivers
  7. Bjørn Tore Kvarme, currently playing for Rosenborg, yesterday announced that he would retire from football on July 1st (Kvarme legger opp midt i sesongen – in Norwegian) Anyone remember him? In my view one of our worst players ever. Had a decent spell in Spain though.
  8. Great to hear the chants for Spud when he came off.
  9. Saw Rafa’s comments on TV last night. Didn’t sound like there was any controversy over this at all. Was more like “Xabi and his missus are expecting their first child so Xabi stayed behind with my blessing” Don’t think Xabi wanted to miss out on either but turning up late for the game is understandably not an option.
  10. Guess he needs the money. One bank in norway is apparently dragging him to court over a half mill loan due to be paid last year. Stupid cunt even asked the bank to release him from some of the debt.
