  1. Just realised that the pilot who finds Luke and Han on Hoth uses the call sign Rogue Two.
  2. She's still patron of over 600 charities though. No way is she giving it up at any time, she'll be there till the end.
  3. I like LFD but his problem stems from having to agree or disagree with every single post he reads. He needs to read stuff and move on. And get a bird.
  4. South Africa have brought about the demise of the last 4 England captains I think... As for the starting 11 for Brisbane, I reckon; Cook Hameed Jennings Root © Borthwick Stokes Bairstow Woakes Rashid Broad Anderson Lots of places up for grabs obviously. I think Root will be captain and will bat at 4. Can see Jennings batting at 3 when Hameed returns. Would like to see Borthwick have a go and think Ali may be dropped before the Ashes start given Rashid's progress and his habit of giving his wicket away. I don't think there will be many changes to the bowling attack, our spinning options are limited but Jack Leach may get a call up. Ball and Finn won't be far away but Anderson, Broad and Woakes are inked in as it stands, despite a poor winter for each.
  5. Cook is obviously not a natural captain, he's only skipper because he's the most experienced/best player and the fact that there has been no other contender for the last few years. I think now is the time for Root to take over, let him have next summer to prepare for the Ashes. If Cook keeps the captaincy at this point it's only because his mate is the boss.
  6. The story of the Bothans could be another spin-off film that they do. Although it could be irrelevant given that it was a set up all along.
  7. I watched it in 3D which turned out to be a mistake, the film looked dark and blurred in many parts. I'm going again today and will watch it in 2D.
  8. Well that was shit. Got to the ground at 10 past 10 this morning by which time it was all over. Less enjoyable to watch the longer the game went on so not too arsed. Abject performance and tour from England, I really hope the selectors get sacked after this debacle. They're absolutely clueless.
  9. If Jennings' mum is English then there's no issue and he shouldn't have to go through a qualifying period. He wouldn't have to in f*******. Anyway, I'm off to the ground now. Late start today after a few beers last night. Hopefully we can get up to 400 and beyond but I won't hold my breath.
  10. Playing in Dubai in March but I'm on holiday and can't go. Gutted.
  11. I love a pair of brown trainers, the adidas Milano in brown are superb.
  12. Currently reading Slow Horses after a recommendation on this thread. Just over half way through and it's very good, really enjoying it.
  13. I think I've read 5 and that sums them up perfectly. The last one I read was The Black Angel and it was pap, found it really difficult to get through. If it wasn't for the acclaim on here I'd have binned these books off a while ago.
  14. Yeah, the selectors were in place before he took over though. I can see him having a clear out after this tour though given recent performances and the debacle involving Anderson over the summer.
  15. Get a jukebox, can't beat a pub with a jukebox.
  16. Bellew has watched Rocky 3 too many times, he thinks he's Clubber Lang. I hope Haye batters him. It's a great fight for Bellew though, if he loses he's still got his world title at Cruiserseight. He's guaranteed himself at least 2 more pay days fighting Haye at heavyweight.
  17. I'd have called up Bell and Billings, 2 right handers who can play against spin. A top 4 of Cook, Root, Billings and Bell would give us a much better chance in the last 2 Tests. Billings would give us another spin option too. The selections for this tour have been appalling, hopefully the selectors are all sacked after this and we get some former players with recent international experience involved. I'd love to see Vaughan involved in selection, he was a boss captain.
  18. We're playing a D/N Test at Edgbaston next summer I believe, against the Windies in August. I have no problem with D/N Tests but don't think they're particularly needed in England as we get great attendances anyway. And it's freezing during the day mostly, never mind during the evening.
  19. Stan Smiths are the definitive adidas trainer.
  20. Nah, planned it mate. I'm in Abu Dhabi so it's only a couple of hours away. I went over in March for the T20 game against South Africa so wanted to go somewhere else this time but couldn't make any other Test due to prior commitments. Happy to be going back to Mumbai though, it's a great city. Heading to Bangalore in March as well for India v the Aussies, en route back from Goa.
  21. Looking forward to the India series, despite the fact that I think we'll lose 5 nil. I'm heading out to Mumbai for the 4th Test so it'd be nice if the series was still alive at that point but I doubt it will be.
  22. I've got that Germany shirt and it was advertised as the '88 one. I still think the collar is wrong but I'm not arsed, it looks boss.
