im being made redundent in july by a major insurance company who posted £3 billion pund profits this year ! basically ive known the closure of our office has been coming for 5 years so ive held on getting a new job cos i knew id get a a good redundency package and i get my actual notice in the next few days. i was talking to a firm they get into help you with your cv and finding jobs..the lad i spoke toasked what my next plan was - i said to get a job that i could keep for thenext 30 yrs - she told me the average lifecycle of a job nowdays is 18-30mths - i shat myself ! though she looked at my cv and in truth she showed that every 18-30mths i was promoted or took another role within the company. The thing that worries me is that being made redundent is like leaving school- you have to start at the bottom and work your way up and i havnt a clue what i want to do !
