  1. I'm talking about RM's fuck up in getting De Gea last summer.
  2. Cabaye has been shite for Palace in their recent run of crap form. Almost looks like he's knackered or can't be fucked. He seems to start great at a club then fade. Admittedly that's better than most of our recent signings who don't even do the great start part. If we're in for Ter Stegen i hope we get it wrapped as soon as possible as assuming Real's fax machine is working the Mancs may well be looking for a De Gea replacement.
  3. You're barmy if you think this story has been put out there by FSG. He's having a sook because he thinks he fit and wants to play. Last time he did that he played, scored and then got injured again for 3 months. And agree on the getting 50m for Torres, that would have been deal of the century if we had bought in just Suarez and trousered the rest of the cash. The Carroll deal soured it. I don't think DS will be playing for us at the start of next season, either because he's injured or we have sold him.
  4. I'm pretty certain we've already agreed the wages.
  5. Quite. Clear the fucking ball and stop arsing around. Hopefully Klopp is saying that to them every training session.
  6. Yeah just pointing out a shocker from the linesman. Must have forgotten the rule.
  7. Benteke was offside at the end. They only had one player behind the ball.
  8. I like JAR. He's a bit thick and he knows it. Still was a better left back than pretty much any of the filth we've had playing there since.
  9. Gomez was an international one. Ings did his at Melwood.
  10. http://www.spiritofshankly.com/news/fsg-strategy-needs-to-back-the-manager Thoughts from SoS. The thread on Rawk where they posted it was LAWKed due to everyone slagging them off. Poor souls.
  11. Tony Barrett interview here. Says the transfer commitee wasn't working because was at complete loggerheads with Rodgers. Hence expensive buys not getting played (Sakho, Markovic etc) as they weren't his. Also as above mentions it should have been obvious what was going on when Sakho got a new deal when Brendan was trying to bomb him out. TBH with the players TB lists in that interview the xfer committees offerings were better.
  12. Ignoring TV money for a sec.. Our off field income has been rising and rising. Mainly because of how WOEFULLY under exploited the club was commercially in the last 20 years. That is what they - or in fact Ayre - are good at. The word has been coming out that the main stand hospitality has sold a lot more quickly than they were expecting too. Football wise it's a massive cluster fuck though and you'd hope that they're not entirely stupid and will realise that all this will slide away if things continue as they do.
  13. Oh the days when Rashid and code used to post here at the same time. Scenes.
  14. Milner dropped back when Lucas went off so Rossiter was really filling Milner's position.
  15. Bristol City are owned by a billionaire in fairness but yeah its bonkers numbers.
  16. Benteke is making problems for their centre backs. Which is more than happened all last season.
  17. I wish someone would take Mig aside for a week and make him practise his clearances. Still too many powder puff kicks. Oh and too many blue boots.
  18. Hah, i can imagine us putting in a 15m bid, saying "we tried" and leave it at that. We have no chance if either Barca or Real want him. However if we work with the rumour our net spend is give or take about 25 mil atm (going to 22 mil if we bin off the ocean liner to the Baggies) which is about average of what we would get from the kitty. If we then take into account the Sterling windfall of about 40m with QPR's share then... ITS ON!* *its not on.
  19. A lot of forums believe the average Liverpool fan talks and behaves like the Rawk hivemind. (When of course they're actually allowed to speak.)
  20. Yeah the retractable seating is still gonna be bad. There's a huge gap between the two tiers etc. It's gonna be pretty naff but they're getting huge corporate facilities for basically free. Whoever managed to do the deal was a genius.
  21. While i agree with that i put nearly all the blame of that on Moores and Coco. They farted around for years eventually coming up with a 55k version of the Reebok in the park, and then sold to Cancer and Aids. For fucks sake. By the time FSG arrived I just don't think the finances for building a stadium vs doing up Anfield was ever going to add up. Spuds are financing theirs via expensive land values, building around the site and an NFL deal while WH have lucked into the deal of the century. (Though i would never want us in that piece of shit mish mash stadium with a track they're going to have) If we were going to build one the time has passed. FSG are doing the best with a bad situation. I do take issue with them using a goalpost truss making corner expansions in the future incredibly hard to do. That is short sited. Whether that is because of the extra height from doing it cantilever or whether it's them being cheap i don't know. Also whoever made the decision to do up and sell the houses on Skerries road when the club owned nearly all of them at one point was an absolute fucking tool. With a properly renovated Kemlyn we could have gone to 65k which would have been perfect and i'd be able to sit in the lower without my knees being crushed. The Kop is untouchable because of the road. Not a lot can be done there..
