Hi all, long term lurker, first time poster. I was only 7 in 1986 and my memory of the day is still pretty clear. All the usual, Molby's second half masterclass, Grobbelaar's save and arguing with Beglin, Rushie's superb control and finish.......... Funniest memory for me though is my brother, who was desperate to get the red home kit. My mum had trawled all the shops and couldn't get it for him anywhere. He was so disappointed. Then, the Thursday before the game we both came home from school and my mum out this sports bag and handed it to him. His face just dropped as he pulled out the Everton top! My poor mum didn't really understand why he was so gutted!
