  1. I heard from a mate of mine that this Valencia kid is an 18 year old midfielder. True or not?
  2. Barca were missing Ronnie, Deco, Xavi and Messi. Van Bommel was rushed back from injury and replaced early 2nd half. Despite this, they still dominated the game. Valencia are looking class though. Messi, Deco and Ronnie will all be back for Chelski though.
  3. Sorry Rash, but the guy just won't let it go! The Jewell thing was discussed. It was a hypothetical topic. And Pablo keeps bringing it up like its amusing to others. Well it ain't. So I told him to fuck off. So what do you think about this new centre back?

Makalele rejected a new contract and was on his last year. Chelsea paid a fortune. Madrid didn't think they needed him. Get your facts straight. Madrid supporters were furious! Why do you think that was? Crespo was refused a move to Milan by Chelsea. He was sold by Lazio due financial difficulty. He has never been a reject. And what was his "great record"? What defines world class Rash? Was Eto'o world class when Barca signed him? Shevchenko when Milan signed him? Going further back, was Batistuta when Fiorentina signed him? How about Cantona? What's the bloody point?!? :wallbutt:
  7. Reina, Garcia, Alonso, Sissoko, Agger, Gonzalez, Crouch all equates to "dross" does it? You must have been suicidal when Ged was in charge then?

Hello? Did you not read my question? Define rejects please? And where did you get your facts on Makalele?

Makalele rejected Madrid's contract offer, as it didn't provide him with 'galactico' terms. Crespo was sold by Lazio to help clear their debt, and they sold to the highest bidder. Define reject, Rashid. And you asked how many players "they managed to sign". Implying Chelsea, not Mourinho. Its a nothing argument mate.

That's neither here nor there, is it Rash?
  11. Maybe his poor control and grumpy look are starting to piss off the opposing fans too

To be fair, could you really see them losing this game had they not gathered such an impressive lead? I doubt it! Agreed about the champs league, although Barca have a few injury problems. Watch Valencia batter them tomoro.
  13. Has anyone read Rafa's quotes on Garcia's form? Read it on Koptalk but can't find it anywhere else. He has mentioned Luis's inconsistency before, but it sounds like he's a bit pissed off at the minute. If Luis doesn't play on Tuesday, I'm pretty sure it will be Gerrard on the right again, unless he goes for Cisse there, with one up front to get Stevie more central.
  14. From the official site's interview with JAR: The fans are obviously upset and they want to know that the players are as upset as them. What was the mood like on the journey home? "It wasn't good. When you lose a game, you are not happy - especially away from home because you have got the fans travelling a long way to see the games. I want the fans to know that we are at least as disappointed as them because to go home after losing a game that we should have won is disappointing." O_o
  15. THE FA, it seems, are powerless to punish the cheats in football. If a referee has seen an incident and acted upon it, FIFA will not allow a country's football association to take retrospective action. So Arjen Robben can feign injury and get a player sent off, then pat himself on the back afterwards (not too hard, mind, in case he falls over) on a job well done. Which leaves football fans as the sole arbiter of justice in football. Boo Arjen Robben if you must, but even more effective would be to laugh at him every time he runs out at Anfield or Goodison. Fan power can be a very effective tool. A little like Robben, in fact. Article by David Prentice, who's normally a cock. Last line was pure quality though. :D
  16. He's not right in saying it in public. He's out of order. You cannot publicly question the manager's decisions. Period.
  17. My apologies for the thread I hold my hands up - it will not be done again. I saw the game live on SS3 and i was livid. It was my emotions running high. Once again, I apologise.
  18. Sorry pal. Where was i supposed to add this one?
  19. Not a scapegoat, Pablo. Just asked a question. What was behind Rafa's thinking?
  20. Florent Sinama-Pongolle believes his displays and work ethic for Liverpool warranted a place in The Reds' starting line-up. The French striker struggled to claim regular football under Rafa Benitez which culminated in his loan switch to Blackburn until the end of the season. Pongolle netted twice as a substitute in Liverpool's FA Cup clash against Luton and was stunned to learn he would not start their next fixture against Spurs. "If I'm not working and not playing it's normal, but when you work hard and deserve to play and you don't - something happens," Pongolle told Sky Sports News. "It just confuses me a little bit. "Against Luton I proved a lot by scoring twice, but it didn't matter. I came on for 30 minutes, scored twice and was on the bench for the next game. "I just think after scoring twice I should have been in the next game." It was only a few days ago when he said he hoped to make an impression on Rafa. Surely this won't help matters.
  21. GERRARD ABSENCE KEY - YOUNG Luke Young hopes Charlton can use their victory over Liverpool to spark a revival in fortunes, but accepts the European champions are just not the same threat without inspirational skipper Steven Gerrard. The Addicks soaked up plenty of early pressure from the visitors at The Valley before two quick goals at the end of the first half. England midfielder Gerrard, 25, may also be unavailable for the trip to Wigan on Saturday with a knee injury, when Liverpool will look to arrest a run of three straight away league defeats. And international colleague Young admits it is a big void to fill. "The lads said before the game that Gerrard is their engine in midfield, creates a lot of chances for them and scores a lot of goals," the full-back said. "It is obviously a bonus when he is not in their starting XI. We got that bit of luck that he was out injured and we took advantage of that. "It is not so much a fear factor, but you know what he is about. He is a world-class midfield player. "When he is not playing for them they do not seem to be the same side. When he is in the side, he runs them really, everything goes through him." Young believes Charlton's victory, which pushed them up to 11th in the table, will give other teams hope of also upsetting the third-placed Reds, who won 10 successive league games earlier in the season. "They had a lot of possession but did not create many chances," he added. "We sat back a bit, but still they did not really get in behind us. "Maybe other teams may look at than and sit a bit deeper as well."
