  1. The kid looks like he's being dragged along. There should be a child protection hotline number at the bottom of it.
  2. Everton, United, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal all away before the World Cup. We need to be on it from this start this season.
  3. It'll be 30 years since the Premier League launched at the start of the season so guaranteed we'll be off to Forest first.
  4. Not sure if Nunez is the right man or not but he's no Andy Carroll. I read somewhere that only Alphonso Davies ran faster than him in the Champions League last year and it was only a tiny margin. Andy Carroll barely ever broke out of a trot.
  5. I think we were just exceptionally lucky to have got there at the point we did. If we hadn't been staying where we were then we'd have definitely followed the route everyone else did from line D. I know the gate was shut not long after we arrived. We were worried about our mate as we couldn't reach him on the phone and heard what was happening from other fans. I went to the concourse and could see the chaos below.
  6. The signage piece is an important one to highlight in terms of planning failure. I got off train line D at around 7 but had to check into my hotel at the other side of the stadium so went straight on as everyone went left. After checking in I have a video on my phone at 7:37 of the team bus as it went past us about 200 metres from the ground as we were walking towards it and a photo at my seat at 7:46. We entered by gate A which was virtually empty at that point. My only real observation at the time was how quiet it was as I was completely oblivious of the problems elsewhere. A mate who went to the stadium ahead of us only made it in around 90 minutes after us after following the route everyone else did. Some simple directions highlighting routes to different gates could have split the load across the entry points.
  7. Their manager was kicking off about Klopp calling AFCON 'little' when the tournament was on. I'd guess that's part of it even if it is fucking ridiculous. It would be a shame if he decided to start acting like a cunt on the way out. Can understand if he wants a new challenge or even more money but there's no need to start coming out with anything disrespectful.
  8. Time to make a final offer and sell if he doesn't accept. We don't need next season to have the Mo Salah to City sideshow running right through it.
  9. We did in the main. We only went strong in the League Cup and FA Cup in the late rounds.
  10. He has tons of potential but I think his performances to date have been overstated a bit. He can be a little predictable with his efforts to get on his right and his finishing lacks finesse with more focus on power than accuracy. With Mane leaving there'll be a lot of pressure on him to score more next season and we'll need him to deliver more than he has so far.
  11. City are massive favourites but they haven't won it yet. They're basically in the same situation we were at this point in 2014. They might not have Chelsea like we did that season and they are also better than we were then but both West Ham and Wolves can beat them on their day. If being a Liverpool fan has taught me anything it's that it's never over until it's over.
  12. Absolute fucking cunt of a club. With our traditional rivals there's an intense dislike balanced with a degree of respect. I hate everything about City and have no respect for them at all. As I told one of their mouthy fans yesterday they exist as a promotional tool for human rights abusers and that lack of morality has found its way into every fibre of the club. Also a special mention to the little chubby Manc cunt in his 60s going out his way to barge into me and my mate to look for an excuse to start a fight. He was lucky we're the sort of lads who'd just laugh at him. I'm sure if he carried that on elsewhere he'll have got an absolute hiding.
  13. The Europa League final is 4 days after West Ham are due to play City. Can pretty much cross that off as a chance for City to drop points if they make it there.
  14. I want West Ham out of this as soon as possible and not playing their reserves against City at the end of the season.
  15. There are exceptions but there is a noticeable theme in that a number of people who believe or believed in one of those things believe all of them. I'm not saying there was a low vaccince uptake but there was misinformation spread by Russia through many of the same channels aimed at that. Had there been low vaccine uptake it would have been a distraction for the west. I'm also not saying the mainstream media shouldn't be questioned but more making the point that many of the people following the theme I mentioned don't interrogate the independent news source they use to enforce their beliefs as aggressively. Especially some of those so often seen on social media.
  16. Mad how often the same people who are anti-vax are also Brexit and Trump supporters. And just pure conincidence that low vaccine uptake in the west, Brexit and Trump being in power were all in the interests of Russia. As is war denial. The MSM are to be interrogated but floods of propaganda from Russia via social media is to be defended at all costs as the 'enlightened truth' and should never be questioned.
  17. I especially liked her insight when she was saying about how Jurgen shouldn't analyse where things went wrong in the game as we got the 3 points away from home.
  18. I think I might be the only one of this opinion but I thought Diaz's selfishness was similar to Mo's in this game. He has huge levels of ability and I think he'll be an amazing signing for us but he chose a few shots from distance at the wrong moments and also should have played a simple pass to put Mo in after his big bursting run through the middle instead of trying to take on the last 2 defenders. I think it's probably just a case of feeling he needs to make an impact but it was just an observation I had.
  19. On the Van Dijk offside, that only happened as Reece James put two hands in his back and shoved him offside. If that VAR clip starts earlier that becomes debatable.
  20. There's internationals in South America in that two week break so I can't see it being played then. I wouldn't be shocked if the Leicester game was moved to accommodate it though.
  21. There's only a title to be won if City drop their level in the second half of the season or we win 18 of the last 19. It's not over but it's increasingly unlikely. Our ruthless edge of two years ago has gone. We don't kill teams as often in the moments we have the opportunities to do it and don't manage games well when in front. We're still good but not quite as good as we were.
  22. Four titles in five years when they win it this season and eight in total. On a bit of a downer after that result but honestly think they'll pass us in my lifetime with the way the odds are stacked. The cynic in me wonders whether the Premier League only allowed the Saudis in as they recognised the damage a one team league would do to their brand. Our challenging them just doesn't look sustainable over time.
  23. I prefer us to not kick towards our fans in shoot outs. I just think it's easier for players to shut out everything else when there's people trying to put them off than when they're looking at hopeful faces on the way to take the pens. I can think of this game, Stoke a few years ago, Chelsea in 07, West Ham in Cardiff and Milan in Istanbul off the top of my head that we've won kicking in front of the other team's fans. There's only City in the League cup final I can think of us actually losing. As a side note, I also hate player's names being sung before pens. I was pretty nervous when Bobby stepped up for that reason last night.
  24. He bottled a tackle for the first goal and then generally got bullied. He lacks tactical discipline and is only effective if he has people around him who cover the space he leaves. He isn't good enough on the ball to be carried in that way.
  25. He may or may not make a very good manager and time will tell. His tactical philosophy needs to have a clear identity that's aligned with something that would challenge in a competitive league before he's ready to make that leap in my opinion. That's very unclear right now. When we recruit our next one it needs to be the best choice available. I think I'm just nervous that we'll make the sentimental choice because of the momentum behind it instead.
