On the plus side, if he's reffing this game (reffing in the loosest sense of the word) at least he won't be doing our game.
-
That was never a yellow card offence. Referees are worse than they have ever been. Bring on VAR. Ideally they would explain the decision from VAR so at least people could know WTF the ref / VAR bod was thinking even if they didn't agree with the interpretation.
-
So from another site: "Here, I looked this up, this is what the offside law, rule 22 says Gaining an advantage by being in that position means; - Playing a ball, that rebounds to him from an opponent, having previously been in an offside position. Pretty scary neither ex players or refs have the slightest clue about basic rules."
-
Kane was offside when the ball was played. If he hadn't been, Lovren wouldn't have needed to stretch to stop the pass. Of course he's interfering with play. Off course he's offside.

van Dijk flicked his calf, Lamella went down clutching the back of his thigh.

Should be the new club motto.

Its not just the lure of CL footy. Players want to win things (as well as get shed loads of money)- if we're not offering either we're left with the lure of working with Klopp as the only reason to choose us over our rivals. If we keep taking one step forward and two back, players that are already here are not going to hang around, and players thinking of coming will look elsewhere.

And that ladies and gentlemen sums Moreno up. I started laughing.

Thought it was the Arsenal game that finally did for him. If it hadn't, surely todays flapping and gormless rooted to the line performance would have done for him.
-
Not entirely unexpectedly or randomly- even his mother must have been surprised to see him still starting games for us.
-
Ming looks even shakier than normal (if that's possible). Got to get a new keeper in asap.
-
You know what- I think you're right.

Mate nobody's treating him like a chattel or slave. He's under contract, he's being highly paid even if he's not playing for the first team. He wants to go, we want him to stay until he have a replacement- simple deal that works for both parties. If you think a contract is meaningless and a player should be able to go whenever and wherever he wants regardless of the situation it leaves his club in, then I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree.

If he started acting the cunt let him rot in the reserves for 4 months- I don't think we'd get much less for him in the summer, he'd want to be playing to get ready and selected for the world cup, and we wouldn't have let everyone know we had a wad of cash burning a hole in our pocket. VVD may not have been giving 100% for Soton and maybe that's why he was dropped- but his price went up after 6 months! I don't mind him going, but we needed to get our business done before announcing he's gone. Which makes me suspect that perhaps we have (VVD and Keita)- in which case what happened to the rolling warchest from "no value in January" and "couldn't get our first choise targets" from the last 4 windows? Anyway, he's gone now, lets hope there is a replacement coming in. As I say, the disappointing thing is every time we look like we're getting somewhere its one step forward and two steps back.

Some thoughts: "We can't afford to pay top wages". We fucking well can- 9th richest club in the world allegedly. "His heart was set on going" - fair enough, go in 4 months time, instead of in the middle of the season when we have no replacement lined up, and anyone we go for will have an automatic £30M added to their price tag. "He was too much trouble behind the scenes"- don't care what he did behind the scenes, he could carry on doing it as long as he carried on producing on the pitch like he was, and then bugger off in the summer. "We'll be OK as long as we spend the money properly"- sorry, that money's already gone on VVD and Keita. "We've lost good players before and survived"- survived, but won sweet FA and slipped from no.1 to no.4-8 in the league. Love the way they've released the news the day after we knock the bitters out of the cup and everyone's in a good mood. Every time we look like we're getting our shit together the rug is pulled from under us by these shitpot yanks.

He did catch the ball and then drop it on his players head, as well as being really slow to come for through balls two or three times and almost getting caught with the ball again but apart from that............ No seriously he wasnt dreadful but wasn't convincing either. -

Thought it was a soft penalty at first, but when you see it again Lallana's clearly been held back from going after the ball so definite penalty. MOTD pundits are stupid dickeads. Surely pushing someone over the hoardings when they're off balance could cause serious injury and is dangerous play? Firmino called him filho da puta as far as I could tell- son of a whore as far as I'm aware. If Holgate thinks that's racist he needs to borrow a Portugese dictionary. -
Shitcoat's parked the bus again! At Everton! Feel a bit sorry for the manc supporters having to watch this sort of stuff every week.
