  1. Good shout regarding Chris Kameni. I watched quite a fair bit of La Liga and he's criminally underrated IMHO. But then in a league in which the likes of Casillas, Valdes, Palop et al are plying their trade, thats understandable. La Liga's chockful with good 'uns, and there's also the case of a certain Jose Manuel...
  2. Amen to that, brutha. Careful though, you'll get the legions of superfans (note: fuck that, make it mega-fans) screaming blue murder while preaching at you at the same time that it's not "The Liverpool Way".
  3. Fuck me, you are one shining beacon of wit and enlightenment aren't you? Does the constant sniping at whatever he said gives you that funny feeling? If that's the case, then please continue to your heart's content. Fair enough the one in bold, it's a daft thing to say and smacks of I'm-a-drama-queen of luvvie's proportion. However, disregard that and the whole thing he's written is bang on the money. But Rash's the only poster here who's having an agenda right?
  4. Substitute that with Kuyt and it's a far more accurate asessment. But wait, he "works hard" and praised Carra to high heaven... Seems poor ol' Pennant can do no good in the eyes of some people here. Performance-wise, he's no Ronaldo nor Robben but in our last couple of games he's been very good. He could have bagged a couple of assists had Crouch and Fowler scored against Barca and Villa (well, his inconsistent crosses are of the "looping variety, rather than much more dangerous whipped"). Him giving the big-I-am after the Chav game did got me thinking "Worra tit" yet the lynching he received here stemmed from his comment regarding his non-inclusion in the England squad? And I thought most people here couldn't give a flying fuck about England? Agenda? It ain't The Liverpool way...
  5. Ah, that old chestnut. The same scenario for our last two home games of which the final outcome was the same albeit with different reactions in the aftermath. Means fuck all if we didn't take our chances. Having said that, if Kuyt had been a little bit quicker when Bellamy rolled the ball in front of Van der Saar's goal or if Momo and Riise's shot were several milimeters lower we wouldn't be having this conversation at all. Also by pressure, you mean by consistently gifting posession back to Barca instead trying to pass it to a red shirt in a more advanced position? No doubt someone will point to me that those were "long passes" and not anywhere-will-do wild clearances.
  6. Bugger me, your stupidity is as astounding as your naivety. Or are you trying to be pedantic? I'm not contesting the veracity of the report. Rafa could've dictated them for all I care. Rather it's what he said in that report. Do you honestly think that it is an "almost perfect" performance? Define perfection. Everyone's got their own take on it but mine goes back on a night several years ago when at our own place Rafa's Valencia side tore us a new arsehole. Sure you can believe whatever the things an august personage like Rafa says in that report as Gospel, but judging by his uber-animated self (by Rafa's standard) especially in the second half and the amount of bitten fingernails collected by the Anfield cleaning ladies, it is quite the contrary. He is just relieved that we progressed to the q/f, sending the holders packing back to Camp Nou in the process. I know I am. HE'S JUST PAYING LIP SERVICE TO THE MEDIA, period.
  7. Does autism count? If yes is the answer then they are more than capable of. Would love to accomodate your request but since a mere disagreement with your opined self is swiftly interpreted as mental retardation then the Draw function in Paint is obviously beyond me. A much simpler question: do you always believe the things that you read/hear in the meeja?
  8. And why is that? Perhaps I'll give you a clue. The key word in his interview is ALMOST. *SLIPPING INTO HERMES MODE* Or do I need to draw you a picture?
  9. Agree with that, only because Aurelio is prone to injuries. Not having a go at the Brazilian, because his combination with Riise against the Chavs was the best I've ever seen under Rafa.
  10. That's just Rafability in full force, I guess. Sure he's happy that we progressed but can you really say that he's REALLY pleased with our performance? It's not like he's gonna say he's fucked off with our piss poor ball retention and the inability of our strikers to bury chances in a press conference, is he? Incidentally, did you see him at the touchline during the game? That was the most animated Rafa I have ever seen in a very long time.
  11. Fuck me, you'd be a hoot at any accountants convention. That's 27 mill quid for for a bunch of youngsters, albeit an excellent bunch. At the risk of sounding Rahid-esque, how much did Walcott was offered to us a while ago?
  12. No shit sherlock. And how much do you think they are going to cost?
  13. It's deja vu involving our erstwhile Number 10...
  14. Fuck me, that was almost non-existent. Sami's never known for his distribition but what options did he have apart from sideway passes or booting it upfield? Seems to me that the players are under instructions to keep the shape of the team. Fuck it, this tactical straightjacket that rafa's enforcing on the players are starting to piss me off.
  15. Bowyer and Woodgate wasn't convicted...
  16. Do you have Rafa's number? Then I'd suggest you drop him a line and tell him to look elsewhere and not in the direction of Brum City. For Rafa to consider him as an alternative should we fail to prise Alves from Sevilla, that'd show he has qualities that can improve the squad.
  17. Very convenient of you to omit the racist overtone. Oh I forgot, the charges have been dropped. Groundhog Day coming (episode of Mssrs Bowyer and Woodgate)
  18. You don't like Pennant, fine. But using his past misdemeanours as a stick to beat him with whilst at the same time white-washing Bellamy's is hypocritical. Judging from their abilities, both Pennant and Bellamy are cracking players. Temperament-wise (and off-the-field antics, CONVICTED OR NOT), they are both dodgy fookers in that aspect. Well Rafa rates him, Bellamy is a Liverpool player now. I'll cheer his name loudest when he scores against those Chav twats at the Millenium Stadium. So will I cheer Pennant's when he skins the fullback and provides the pin-point cross for Crouch or Bellamy to score. From the latest going-ons and with the Alves proposed move seemingly dead in the water, Pennant is close to joining us and there's fuck all you can do about it other than bitch or moan in here. I'll be happy if he signed. If it fell through, I won't shed a tear.
  19. click the link, sir.
  20. On the pitch? like our erstwhile Senagalese no. 9 with his flying expectorant? Bellamy with his Billy-big-bollocks attitude while on the piss, not to mention those alleged assault and battery charges on women? He is par with Danny Cadamarteri as far as I'm concerned.
  21. Just because he's a Liverpool player now he's Mother Theresa? What next when we've acquired Pennant, him to be canonised? Both players have dodgy reputations, with Bellamy the worst offender.
  22. So is Bellamy, but he's ours now isn't it? I got the impression that Rafa is ready to gamble on the two of them (a BIG one) for us to challenge the Chavs. Fear not, we've got Paco (or is it Pako?) ready to step in should those two misbehave.
