  1. Did no one else see Pogba clothesline Lallana on the break away? Cunt.
  2. Their record against the bottom half was excellent last year. At least Moyes had them beating the dross.
  3. Nah, you have to account for us taking Nunez wages off their hands, so closer to 7m
  4. Kuyt was a squad player on first team wages and, as much as he obviously loved it here, I don't think he'd have been happy being on the bench more often than not. Strikes me as a man who'd rather drop a level and play more. Fee was crap, but it's hardly like we'd have got more than 2-3 million more.
  5. Baros did that corner for us in the CL in 05 before Utd scored from it, and it wasn't new then.
  6. I am actually fine with a 4 month ban for a third violent conduct offence, head-butting, stamping, biting. Spitting too. Fuck people who spit. What I find frustrating is knowing that this is a one off and, for no good reason, people have decided biting is somehow worse than other offences.
  7. Alan Green early, paraphrasing, said kicking, head butting and forearms to the face (his actual words, forearms to the face) where unacceptable but 'part of football' before going on to spout some other shite. I can't understand how anyone who has spent any time thinking about it, rather than getting swept up in the Daily Mail style communal moral outrage, really think a bite is worse than a forearm in the face? I can only assume that the precedent has been set and a third act of violent conduct in a career will mean a 4 month ban. Given Pepe's history of assaulting other players he'll have to be very careful.
  8. I actually feel a bit sorry for Phil, his brother is literally better than him at everything. Better at coaching, better at football, better as a pundit. And a bigger cunt to top it all off. Poor Phil. Christmas must really suck for him.
  9. Neville is dead right. Entirely his fault for going down too early.
  10. Phil Neville talking absolute shite. Apparently Sturridge could have won all 3 of those group games and it was the attack, not the Championship level defending, that was England's problem. Terestrial football really makes me appreciate Sky.
  11. It definitely looks like a bite.
  12. Honestly if he has bitten him he deserves an elbow in the face. It's pathetic.
  13. Wilshere isn't a bad player, he's just not half as good as he thinks he is.
  14. Willian was at Spurs for a medical, not here.
  15. Ridiculous. Undermines the actual racism in football, which Blatter and FIFA continue to do fuck all about.
  16. I hope Hull win the cup, but Arsenal winning and putting Man Utd in the Europa league would be okay too. Hopefully they comfortably win the rest of their games and the Glazers then decide that Moyes was the problem all along and they don't need to spend all that money after all.
  17. It's pie in the sky stuff, but if Fabregas leaves Barca I'd love if he came here rather than to the Mancs. Imagine he'd end up at City or Chelsea first though.
  18. If he wins the CL then we'll have to put up with more Special One nonsense. If he doesn't, then are people going to point out that Raneri and Grant, as well as arguably Ancelotti and Benitez, were sacked for having better seasons than this, and in all but Ancelotti's case with some very difficult circumstances. There are no excuses. By their own standards anything but a CL win is a failure this year.
  19. I love the Sterling/Suarez relationship. Suarez obviously really loves when Sterling does well.
  20. Boeteng was 20 when he went to Spurs and was barely given a chance. Given the fees paid so far this summer 12 million is fine.
  21. I've been doing this for a while now, although without any political agenda. The best times are when people get offended and try to defend themselves or attack your ignorance. 'How is preferring green to blue racist?' 'Christ! I can't believe you even have to ask that question! People like you are what's wrong with the world!'
  22. I imagine Meireles was told early in the day that we were too far apart on valuation and he'd have to hand in a transfer request and forgo his pay off if he wanted to leave. He then shat it at about 10 when he realised we weren't kidding. That said, he was obviously available all summer so he wasn't wanted, although as has been said I'd have preferred he went abroad and we'd got less for him. It has been a huge window for us. For the first time since Spurs beat us on the opening day of 2009/2010 I feel like we have a strong squad. More importantly, we have a solid framework to build upon and around. Suarez aside, I wouldn't be panicking at losing any other player to age or injury. The fact that we've coped so well without Gerrard is testament to that.
  23. Not at most places. The bet is a special price single, not a double - there is no Spain win and Villa win part, since Spain were 4/1ish and Villa was 9/1ish and a double would be 49/1. It's all Spain and Villa, which was dead heated with Spain and Muller, Spain and Sneijder and Spain and Forlan. Each is an individual participant, not 2 participants in a double. Basically, expect 1/4 and if you get more, great.
  24. It's not a double at most places though, it's a single on Villa/Spain, meaning there are 3 other "winners" and it's a dead heat of 4. Some places might pay more, but I wouldn't expect more than a 1/4.
  25. Fairly sure Setanta Ireland is unaffected by this, and will still be running. Not 100% though.
