  1. DS: You should come join us man after the World Cup, we can show those Chelsea rentboys what might've been, they'll be crying into their plastic flags all day!
  2. BR: And that's when I casually glanced down, like this ... she never even saw it Phil, I am a Jedi Master at this shit, I could teach you a thing or two kid ...
  3. Pascoe reacts to being told he will be on LFC TV's Christmas promotion ads ...
  4. BR: I've had the teeth done, and they're exceptional. Tell me though Stevie, do you think I should get the nose done next?
  5. Samuel Eto'o was asked about his time with Mallorca, and how he mentioned how he still loves the place and how the people there spoke to him ... now I hope you're sitting down folks, can you believe the locals called him 'negrito' ... and can you believe he didn't feel insulted or wanted them up before a shambolic, witch-hunting FA commission??? Shame on you Samuel, shame on you ... ! Article: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/pitchside-europe/rise-fall-real-mallorca-club-samuel-eto-o-071912171.html "I love Mallorca and have a house there," he explained. "And winning the cup was my greatest moment in football. I’m serious. It was so hard for a small team to do this. In Mallorca, I am one of them. When I go to the supermarket, the girls at the checkout shout (laughs) 'Hey, negrito!' (little black man). "I feel like part of one big family, like in Cameroon. I watch Mallorca when I can. They let me sit on the bench!"
  6. PC: ? Isn't that the LFC.TV presenter? I don't think she'd appreciate what you've done there boss! BR: Ha, will you look at that, um, how'd that get there? That Pascoe is such a rascal eh?! Haha. Uh, no need to say anything to anyone Philippe ... let me move on to the next screen here ...
  7. BR: The ears, they do look well, that's what I'll do next.
  8. LS: But you said I was the best player you ever played with, you can't just change your mind like that! I mean, who is Erik Meijer??!! SG: I say a lot of things. Loyalty counts for a lot you know. LS: You nearly went to Chelsea. SG: F*ck you Luis!
  9. SG: Between you and me, he's actually more upset about the fact that he doesn't have the most prominent nashers in the Club anymore ...
  10. MM: I could handle the shorts, I really could, but now they've gone and shaved their legs?? And is that fake tan???? At least the boss is wearing different shoes! CP: Can't believe I'm wearing the wrong pair of shoes. BR: Can't believe Pascoe f*cked this up, we spent ages working on this look!

  12. RIP Anne, a fearless campaigner and a truly inspirational figure.
  13. Sorry but that's far too flippant not to highlight, have a word with yourself. You sure about that? How many stadiums are there throughout the UK, and how many have been modernised as you call it? How many of them have good management, trained stewards, effective policing? You say you are dismayed by this most recent story, but given the context of your post overall, what part of this most recent story are you dismayed about exactly? The sentence following your expression of dismay seems to be an indicator.
  14. Given the two highlighted points that you've made, it seems that we are going to be in for an almighty massive summer ahead. And the question is, who will be buying the players, the manager or those above him? The comment from either Ayre or Werner following Sturridge's arrival (that if we'd gotten Dempsey in the summer we wouldn't have gotten Sturridge) is a real worry so if we're going for a squad overhaul in the summer, let's hope we don't do an Aston Villa on it.
  15. Good man bonesman, I was about to bump this too; from Dave Rawcliffe: DAVID RAWCLIFFE ‏@PROPAGANDAPHOTO Seems Cowell is desperate for #1 that he's pumping £500k into promoting his rubbish. I'll respond by buying more Justice Collective records.
  16. I'm only this far through the thread so apologies if someone has attempted an answer already ... we have a fair few problems with this 'new' plan/system, but for me, the main one is timing. Timing of the passes, timing of the runs, its all over the place. For every 10 passes we play, I'll bet only 1 perhaps 2 are incisive. This needs to change to 1 or 2 in 5. We have midfield players making runs that are getting burned, Suarez making fantastic runs that are ignored, defenders going too early and this all contributes to us losing possession and then being overrun. Either our midfield and defenders need to hold their runs more, or much more preferably, we make more forward passes through the gaps which is easier when the opposition are on the back foot trying to get back themselves. If we let them settle into a defensive shape then we'll hardly ever break through them as teams are very well organised these days. It's been mentioned in other threads that sometimes Suarez and Gerrard and one or two other players are doing their own thing from time to time. This is because it is their instinct to move, pass, run etc when certain scenarios and situations are present on the field. Mata and Silva are absolutely brilliant when it comes to this, they watch their opponents move away from their positions and when possession gets returned to Chelsea/City, they are already moving into the space left behind. God bless Suarez, he does this too, but more often than not, we're not finding him quick enough and that's a difference that's hurting us at the moment. Top players should always have the freedom to do what they think is right but conversely perhaps it's probably throwing a few other players out, like Allen. To me anyway, Allen seems to be playing like he's still at Swansea, and in my opinion, I don't think he's clicked at all with those around him. What is his role exactly? He's poor defensively, he doesn't offer much to the attack; is he supposed to be a link between the two? You'd expect that at the start of the season but I thought we'd see signs of something coming together at this stage. Rodgers needs to demonstrate that he's flexible with regards to the system and style of play, and I'm not just referring to going to 3 centre-backs on the odd occasion. We need to show we can alter the pace and timing of our play, or the 2nd half of the season is going to be another one of frustration, as teams will continue to read us too easily.
  17. Hmm, I don't know if I agree with that. Jones was poor for Everton's first goal recently and he almost caused a goal at Chelsea when he pushed the ball into the onrushing Mikel's chest when reaching for a cross, fortunately for us it went wide. Jones doesn't fill me with confidence at all.
  18. Hey, that hurts, it's all some of us have you know!!
  19. I'd take him back ... on loan for the rest of the season, if Chelsea pay, say, 50% of his wages. Or if we are to pay his wages, then they can take Joe Cole and pay his wages. Joe Cole probably thinks he can get in ahead of Oscar/Hazard/Mata, who are we to deny him the chance to prove this?!
  20. "Nice one Brad, that's an excellent pose for our next Spot-the-ball competition, no-one will guess this one!"
  21. JT: Ash, Lamps, oh how it hurts!! *sob* Where are they, why aren't they here for me?? *sob*
  22. HW: I'm warning you, any more throwing yourself about the place and you're off! LS: FFS, we haven't even kicked off yet!!!
  23. GC: What did ya say Mark, he looks pretty pissed! MC: I said "You kicked him ya big ape, of course it's a free!" and it just went downhill from there ...
  24. MM: Uh, anyone else think we look like Hull?? BR: *teamtalk on the pitch, not a bad idea at all ...* Maybe a bit harsh on Brendan that one!!
