Morientes is a class player and I bet if you where to get an honest opinion out of every player at Melwood they would say he has helped them develop as a player. He must have helped us win the European Cup last year, all of his experience, his enthuasism, giving solid advice etc. I think he has been worth every penny of his £6 million and am resigned to seeing him go! However, I think he is an unsung hero. Well outside the ground about 10 to 3 (i was a bit late) there was absolute murder, dont know if anyone else seen it? They closed gate 3 and had everyone going in gate 2. There was mayhem, people trying to bunk in which reulted in scuffles with police, stewards and i was literally fuming when i seen the two fellas in front of me get thrown out. They gave there tickets in, then the police about 3 yards on said "ive just watched you bunk in" (or something along them lines) The fellas said no mate we had tickets and showed the stubs, the police then took the stubs gave them to the stewards and threw the fellas out. They where trying to say that the 2 fellas had been passed the stubs and were using them as a way to get in, but they genuinely did have two tickets. And before it crosses your mind, they may well have been stolen but that was not the reason for them being lashed, they where not even checked to be stolen tickets, the guys where purely lashed out because the police said they bunked in and the steward would not vouch for ripping the little bit off the ticket. It was completely out of order and it started a mad frenzy of fighting and scuffling. Mind you the lads who where actually trying to bunk in (of which there was a good few, ad say atleast one hundred) didnt help the situation. You play the long ball to crouch who cannot even header the ball!!!! He siply lets the ball hit is head!!! He falls to the ground just as easily and as often as moro, hence they are both lightweight. How can you cay one is better than the other, Morientes has that touch of class. Morientes 3 previous clubs Crouch 5 previous clubs And moro is much older, i think this is a good indicator as to how the football world rate the two players.
