Was in the old scoreboard end that day myself, that 'flare' or whatever, fucking hell. It was more like a surface to air missile. We'd been having a few bevvies in Manc City centre then got the train at Oxford Rd down to the ground, as we neared Old Trafford our train got bricked by a load of scals who were just walking down the railway line.
