  1. Why do we seemingly make teams look much better than they are. Is it an attitude problem, lack of application. We can't be dropping points again these and utter shite like Luton
  2. Twice ahead and we've let this shite equalise twice. Simply not good enough. Sort it out FFS
  3. Its clouded over here slightly so it's not as cold as the previous couple of nights. Not had a proper sustained snow fall in ages.
  4. I'd suggest a new boiler and/or energy company.
  5. I don't have a dog but I've done a couple of walks in the evenings and its been really fresh & invigorating after busy day at work. In the mornings the moon has been super clear too.
  6. Last few days IMO have been lovely. Proper nice winters day. Much rather cold days with blue skies than milder, wet & windy winter days. TBH I'd be delighted if this was the warmest it gets between Dec & Feb. Been ages since we've had a proper sustained snowy cold winter.
  7. We should be battering these but no doubt we'll make hard work of it. In these games I wish we could go back to the team that started out the blocks at 100mph and had the majority of games won by HT. Would be nice to start doing it again tomorrow.
  8. Even with a 10 point deduction there are just far too many shit teams with shit managers in this league for them to go down. Sadly they'll finish closer to top half than relegation
  9. It was a blatant dive Stupid from the defender but until diving is properly clamped down on cheats will prosper
  10. £16m wasn't it. Endo is fine for at least 50% of the games we play. In the big games against the top sides we no longer dominate the middle of the park in the way we used too. The balance of the midfield is still slightly off, our offensive options are exciting with a good mix of styles and attributes just lack that anchor to knit it together.
  11. Not just the midfielders but also provides Trent a bit more freedom knowing he has quality cover. The success of Trent & Robertson was because they had Fabhino & Henderson covering. Our style/system has slightly moved on but having one top class player providing that defensive insurance will elevate our play to another level imo.
  12. Shit game but an excellent point. Midfield still very much a work in progress, lack of a dominant DM hampering other players IMO. Got a bit lucky on the disallowed goal, seen them given. VVD has defo regained his mojo. 12:30 KO's should be fucked off for good. 2pm should be the earliest KO time.
  13. I wouldn't be so dismissive of Arsenal. Despite my hatred for that lego headed cunt they have a knack of grinding out results and scoring important late goals in either half. Both indications of a good team who will run any title winner close. I'm still not sure about us yet despite an excellent point today. If we are above Arsenal at the end of the season imo it will mark a massive improvement from last season. We are still a team in development missing a couple of key pieces that City and Arsenal have - dominant DM being the big one. We're still lacking someone of the quality & physicality of Rice & Rodri.
  14. If you could change the result of one game in history what would it be?
  15. Matip starting is a little bit concerning. Looking at the balance of midfield I think we'll need to outscore them. Could be plenty of goals
  16. We'll get beat tomorrow. Attitude and performance has been shocking in the last 2 games
  17. International break coming at a good time for us becuase this is the 2nd dreadful performance in a row
  18. Terrible performance and result. Got away with a point at the end but Luton are possibly the worst PL team in history. Very much a reality check that this team is more likely in a fight for top 4 and not a title fight. Amazing from Diaz given the circumstances
  19. The standard/quality of the game has been getting worse in recent years. Both teams now nowhere near the quality of a decade ago. Without Bellingham, Madrid would be midtable and Barca have been very unconvincing and lucky with a few of their wins this season.
  20. Its a stupid rule. You can see why the SH nations of Aus & NZ do it becuase of the difference in the calendars but it makes no sense to not pick and English player just because he plays in another NH country, in fact it should be encouraged imo. Would develop the players further playing in the Top 14 - it certainly hasn't harmed for quite a few of the SA players (also playing in Ireland as well) As for the game, SA defo struggled with a hangover from the previous match. England should have won, it should have been a Eng pen in the scrum for the match winning kick. Even without that bad call if England had shown some attacking intent/creativity they could have been out of sight. It'll be unlucky England, so close to winning against a superior team but Borthwick is not doing the team any favours with his negative play and inability to bring any structured, cohesive back play into the team.
  21. Against France I agree. South Africa are limited though. Virtually all their scores came from French mistakes. If you don't make mistakes and claim the up & unders against SA you blunt their entire attack. England are crap though so it probably won't make a difference.
  22. Football has been ruined by stupid laws and players acting like tarts Rugby has been santised somewhat over time (head contact massive and don't see much rucking over the back anymore) but its still immensly physical, the respect between players (& too officials) is great to see. People talk how it could never happen in football but imo thats bollocks. The discent & play acting has been allowed to happen in football whereas in Rugby any sign of it is stamped on and supressed.
