  1. Ifs, guesses and speculation. I’m sick of it. I want facts. Fact is that from the date of refinancing until today we’ve paid app. £6 M interest on our loans I’m sick of that too. Like a mosquito that never stops sucking the owners are ever so slowly draining us.
  2. The FA has used the Masch-case as the one to set an example, and doubled the punishment for not leaving the ground immediately, When making Masch the example for such a harsh treatment, people will read into it they also agree Bennet’s decision to send him off was a right decision All eyes will now be on Terry, Drogba, Rooney and all the other players who’ve been known to argue a lot with the ref. People will expect them to be punished if they continue doing this. We’ll all be shouting for a red if Rooney as much as lifts his eyebrow. In some bizarre way I think this decision might hurt the mancs end the mercenaries more than us, as dissent has always been a greater part of their game than ours. Masch would’ve been rested in the matches he’s banned from anyway.
  3. The boycott is working I see. I'm impressed.
  4. Or you could just quote Shankly: “The trouble with referees is that they know the rules, but they do not know the game.
  5. Wonderful news. Now there's no reason to turn England down is it Carra? A retarded peanut brain with a drug addiction for captain? Didn’t know Fabio Capello was a comedian, Great decision Fabio. This one really made me laugh.
  6. Early in the match Rooney was denied what should probably have been a penalty. From what we’ve seen of Rooney in other games you’d expect to see him running up to the ref complaining. Yet he didn’t. Why? I don’t think it’s a coincident. Where other refs are more self confident, Bennet is a man who needs to prove his authority by handing out cards whenever his decisions are questioned. I believe the mancs knew this, and took advantage. We should not moan about that, we should learn. Refs, as every other person, have different personalities. Rafa should do his home work. Whenever refs like Bennet is refereeing instruct the players not to open their mouths. Then with other more sensible refs, tell them to make their points loud and clear. Sunday, another ref might have given Ferdinand a card for his constant hacking on Torres, still Torres was the one who got the card. Ferdinand knew all too well he could play his game hard, even harder than the rule book allows, as long as he kept his mouth shut. He took advantage of the ref’s personality, Torres did not.
  7. I really don’t like statistics that much, but the fact Cisse is only slightly ahead of Dirk as far as goals are concerned surprised me. If you then take into consideration work rate, ability to retain the ball from opposition and create chances for others, I think the decision makes itself. It’s got to be Dirk.
  8. Arsenal, ManU and Chelsea all got to play each other. For the sake of argument let's say we beat the mancs and Arsenal and the other three draw each other, we would have a maximum of 83 p (winning the rest of our games), ManU/Chelsea max. 87 p and Arsenal 84 p. To talk about league challenge this year we have to win at both Old T and Emirates. If we can do that, we’re close, very close. It's a dream really, but if we win those two matches I’d say anything is still possible.
  9. There’s no need for song sheets. People pick up the words when a really good song is out, like the new Torres song. Since Instanbul there’s been a few; i.e. FiveTimes, Campione, The new Torres song. Together with the old ones I’d say it’s better than it was ac couple of years ago?
  10. As I'm not at all responsible for the lyrics, I feel entitled to defend it. As silly as it might be, I still think it's ace. It is a real shame Pepe’s got no song. If you don’t like this one, why don’t you come up with a better one?
  11. Hahaha. Didn’t see that. Makes the song even better.
  12. While we talk about singing. Isn't time there was one for Pepe. Like the one from this link: http://www.liverpoolway.co.uk/forum/lfc-songs/49916-pepe-song.html (sung to the tune of popeye) he's pepe the reina man he plays with the carraman his hands are all sticky stops penalty kicky he's pepe the reina man
  13. There's no need to use force. Hand out a leaflet to anyone on their way into the shops and politely make them aware of the fans boycott. If they still want to go inside, let them. I doubt many will as they'll all be LFC supporters.
  14. I guess it’s reasonable to assume Hicks’s expected some negative fans response ala mancs. He’ll always try to figure out how much of a resistance there really is. So far he’s seen Anfield filled to capacity as usual, and only a handful protesting. Club shops filled to capacity on match days as usual. He won’t be too worried about what he’s seen so far. If we want to see sweat on his forehead, we need the help of the big majority of fans, including those on Main Stand and the Anfield/Kemlyn rd ends. As you said, education is the key. Get those leaflets out. In numbers. To every fan. Now!
  15. Texan boys are brought up to be tough guys. They’ll have no fears in life other than losing money. So to scare Hicks out of town we have to show him he’ll hurt, financially. That means stepping up efforts to show him that he’s in top deep here. What can we do? What we're doing at the moment is obviously way too soft and way too litle. 1. Boycott! Why we haven’t had a proper shop boycott is beyond me. We need to hand out leaflets and blocking the entrance to the shops both in town and Anfield with strike guards. 2. We need to do a proper match protest. This after match protests goes on almost unnoticed. The idea of everybody leaving the seat in the KOP after kick-off and stay away for the first 15 minutes would prove something. It would prove a match boycott could actually happen. 3. If 50.000+ Liverpudlians registered in the new AFC Liverpool there would be a proper concern the fans are abandoning ship. C’mon a tenner is all they ask for, and it’s not like it’s either AFC or LFC, it’s both! At least it’s both after Hicks’ been thrown into the Irish Sea. If Hicks stay we’re doomed. Then we might as well start supporting someone else, like AFC Liverpool. The fans are the real assets of Liverpool F.C. We’re that asset. As for now Hicks obviously thinks this is going to blow over like in Manchester. He’ll lose a couple of thousands die hards, but he can afford that, again look to Manchester. If we don’t step up our efforts, Hicks will stay confident. Let’s do what we have to do, and let us do it now. If Hicks realize he may lose out big time if he doesn’t sell now, he’ll be gone like the dog he is, with his tail between his legs.
  16. Because they won their group and with that the advantage to play the second game at home. In hindsight maybe they'd prefer the home leg first. Milan btw also won their group.
  17. It’s here, finally it’s here: The ticket allocation comedy; the UEFA Champions League Ticket Ballot for Touts,…. mmmmm….sorry … General Public. If you want to apply go to: uefa.com - UEFA Champions League - Ticketing And from a lucky bastard who’s got tickets through this thing two years in a row, here’s some advice: They try to stop anyone from applying more than once. If you want to send them more than one application do not use the same credit card no. Apply in the name of your family and friends and use their cards as well. You can choose to apply for three categories. There are far more cat 2 tickets available than cat 1. If this year’s like last, the application pr. available ticket ratio is best in cat 2. I’ve settled for cat 2 tickets two years in a row, sending UEFA 4 applications each year (different names, card no’s and all that). I’ve been lucky two years in a row. I know plenty of people who were lucky last year, so it’s definitely worth a try. If you think that you’re smart applying for cat 1 tickets, believing you’ll be in the ballot for 2nd and 3rd cat if unlucky, think again. You’ll be in the ballot for the category you’ve applied for, that’s it! Be aware that if you’re lucky in the ballot your credit card would be charged immediately and tickets will be sent to you. That means if you win and Liverpool FC don’t qualify, you’ll be pushed into doing something illegal. Besides if no English team is in the final, getting rid of the tickets might not be that easy. The final is after all in Moscow. Good luck to you all.
  18. When facing certain death you’d take the 10% chance of survival wouldn’t you? I admit hoping for a DIC solution is clinging to straws, but what else can we do? 100.000 fans donating 5000£ each to buy the club somehow seems a tidy bit unrealistic to me. You're calling for us to wake up. What do you suggest we do?
  19. Next season when we’re no longer challenging for the title and Mr Parry announces the new stadium cannot be build according to plans, I predict uproar. More than 1000 fans will stay behind at the Kop after a game protesting. Songs will be sung to get the owners out, only not during match time. Some very angry fans even talk about a boycott. Not an all out match boycott as that would never work, but a pie and sausage boycott inside the ground to really hurt the owners in their pockets. On this site we’ll have daily updates of a Corean/Indian consortium who’s on the brink of buying us for 1,5 billion sterling. From the same poster we’ll be made aware on a daily basis he wants our new gaffer sacked.
  20. I agree, Baby Hicks’ shouldn’t be blamed for the crimes of his father. But he is the messenger. There was a need to provide him with a message to deliver. Maybe his dad can see the writing on the wall now? And he wasn’t beat up or anything, He was told, not very politely I agree, he wasn’t welcome in the Sandon? So, Baby Hicks must have his post match beer somewhere else, big deal!
  21. Lucky man indeed! Or you could just say the Liverpool fans who were there behaved admirably. Run him out of the pub with chants only. Not a broken nose, not even a black eye.
