  1. Giggs: Started 12 games this year. One singel goal scored. Player of the Year! Say no more. If you wanted proof these rewards are rubbish, you now have it.
  2. I don't know the rules, but would Robbie Keane get a PL winner medal if Liverpool were to win the PL? If so, he could face the possibility of having his only ever chance of winning the PL, providing his team looses it's last match of the season. Bizarre.
  3. Top 3 straight into the group stage yes. Unless at team outside top 3 wins the CL. So, if Arsenal wins it, we better make sure we at least hold on to that second spot, as 3rd placed team would have to play qualification. Doesn't matter anyway, we'll win the PL, Mancs dropping ponits three matches in a row, Citeh - Boro - Arse.
  4. If today's score ends 0-1 (Crouch), I'll fu**** believe you.
  5. The same minute I posted this, another tread on Yossi appeaered. Sorry guys, didn't now.
  6. Yossi Benayoun - 6 months ago I recall someone calling him “poor man’s Luis Garcia”. I didn’t disagree, I certainly saw Yossi as no more than an OK squad player. My opinion of him has changed entirely. These last two months he’s proved to be a brilliant player. His work-rate is Kuyt-like. He’s got flair. He’s got vision. He’s creating chances, scoring goals. In short, he’s grown into one hell of a player. Have we ever seen a player improve more than him over the course of one season? “Poor man’s Garcia” – I’m having a laugh. As much as I loved that little Spaniard, Yossi is a different class. The way he’s playing now, he’s up there with the very best. Stay with us Yossi, I salute you. We’ll need you to brake up those 0-0 teams next season. Now can someone make up a song for the small giant?
  7. That’s too close to what comes out of a bull’s ass to smell the difference. If the mancs win their next two games they still have to play 5 more games incl. Citeh, Arse an Boro. I admit it’s theirs to loose, and odds might be against us, but even if they beat Pompey and Spurs it’s not over – no way. It’s over when it’s over. Even if they’re 3 points ahead going into the last round, it’s not over. Let’s say Hull are 100/1 to win it. Slim chance yes, but stranger things have happened.
  8. What' s this realistically it’s gone crap? Realistically we had lost it in Istanbul too. I don’t know what our chances are. But I do know you’d have gotten better odds on us winning at half time Istanbul than you’ll now get with any bookie on us bagging the title this year. I still have a dream, I still have songs to sing.
  9. Our players really never give up do they? I admire their never say die attitude. I’m not going to disappoint them by saying “it’ over”. It ain’t! Go Redmen, you can still do this! I’m not a religious man, but if there is a God, and if he likes football, after yesterday he must surely reconsider giving the mancs all the luck. It’s time now, God fellow, to put Fortuna on our shoulders for a while.
  10. Surprised to see so many not having Dalglish on top. King Kenny for me, head and shoulders above anoyone else. But Gerrard is closing the gap.
  11. Yes we were outclassed for the first time this season. Unless we can create a miracle we’re out of it. At the bridge we want an open game with plenty of chances and many goals. We need to play an extreme attacking game, apply almost suicidal tactics, and hope the God of luck is with us. We won’t win 3-0 at the bridge, as we can’t afford to keep it tight. They’ll score. But maybe we can win it 4-2? That would do it. What we need to do, is to try and score 4 goals and not worry if they score once or twice.
  12. The way I saw it: 1. Nullifying Gerrard 2. Finding our weakness in midfield. Lucas needs time on the ball, they didn’t let him have any of that. They were all over him. They bossed the midfield and made us look very bad. Maybe not rocket science but spot on tactics nevertheless. Rafa couldn’t respond. We needed to strengthen our midfield, but how could we? I guess the only way would’ve been to let Gerrard do the job alongside Alonso, breaking up the Gerrard/Torres partnership up front.
  13. Why is it so much easier to pick MOM when we've had a stinker? Anyway my three are: 1. Reina 2. Arbeloa 3. Torres
  14. After 27 league games mancs had conceded 12 goals. The next three they had to pick 8 balls out of their net. Yesterday Porto scored two. Means something doesn’t it? Our 4-1 win may have paved the way for others. The results against Fulham and indeed also the Villa game are maybe even more important. If Fulham can do it and out of form Villa can (even if they lost it at the end), every other team must now believe they can. Sunderland is fighting the relegation battle, I’m sure they’ll go after them. Maybe they’re not good enough, then again maybe they are. My guess is 1-1. I’m confident they’ll loose points in 2 games or more. The hard thing is for us to win the remaining 7.
  15. I think it was a harsh decision sending Friedel off. He was trying to make a save after Torres’ poor first touch. Is he supposed to get out of the way? Nevertheless I’m really surprised the red card’s been overturned. It’s wonderful news however. Fergie’s got three of his players sidelined after being sent off, then Villa doesn’t have to pay the same toll. He’ll be furious, his players might be affected, and this could easily help further destabilizing the mancs. And honestly that’s all I care about as far as Friedel is concerned. Too pile up that pressure we must win against Fulham, that’s the most important thing, no?
  16. Be realistic. We’ve played four good matches against the mancs and the chavs. But all four were tight games that easily could’ve ended differently. How many years will it be before we could repeat those results? Having won those four matches we really should be top of the league, or up there fighting for it at the very least. Fact is we’re realistically out of the race despite those results. It really pisses me off. If Rafa can’t do it with maximum points against our two strongest rivals, can he ever bring us the holy grail? To ask that question is not senseless. I’m not giving up though, as long as there’s hope there’s life, then again I’m a dreamer. If anyone really believes we could win it, run to the bookies now! The odds should be pretty good.
  17. You were “accused” of being a manc WUM back in January. No response, no other posts for 45 days, then you’ re back the Monday after we played the manc shites. I’m not here to judge, but that surely is bad timing, bad timing indeed. Give us a post where you tell us how much you despice the mancs, If you were a true manc you wouldn’t do that, not even under a false flag. So c’mon give us a rant and I might believe you.
  18. BTW. UEFA does make some very cuntish decisions, but there’s no reason for them to refuse our wish not to play on April 15th. All they care about is money, forcing us to play the 15th won’t benefit them, so they won’t. If they did it would clarely be a provocation, for what use? Have no fear, we’ll play the 14th, it’s an absolute certainty.
  19. Playing on April 15th? This question should be answered by the families only. It’s actually silly to discuss it, as I believe we’d all support any decision made by the families. If we were forced to play on that day we should reject. If we’re going to play a match on April 15th sometime in the future it must be because a majority of those left behind want us to.
  20. I take this for what it is - a rumour. But if Real Madrid did offer £80 Million for Gerrard, I wouldn't bet against us wanting to sell. After all the men in charge are Waldorff and Stadler.
