  1. I was flicking through some old tv channels, and came across a channel that showed some stage hypnotist doing various tricks. Reminded me of back in the day, when Paul McKenna was doing hypnosis on stage, they showed it in Norway every Thursday I think. So what do you guys think of stage hypnosis or hypnosis in general? I guess psychotherapy with hypnosis falls in a slightly different category, but also there, I can't help but being skeptical. Have ever of you ever known someone who has been hypnotised? Ever been subject to hypnotherapy or hypnosis yourself? Tell! Tell!
  2. Just a quick reminder that there is a Secret Santa going on, over in the GF.
  3. Paul had an excellent idea: His idea was magnificent, but the execution could do some work, so I've taken the organisation upon myself... If you wish to partake in the Great Grand 2005 The Liverpool Way Secret Santa - use this sign-in form. I've written a little computer programme that on the 1st of December automatically will sort out who gets to send to who. Within the 3rd of December, everybody should have received the name and address of a fellow forumite, and hopefully everybody will take less than 2 weeks to create a musical masterpiece and get it out the door. So go on, sign up, and let us know when you have, by telling us about it here. Super idea Paul, and can't wait to see how it will all come together. the confirmed list - So far, the following have submitted the form: beni chorlton drewy joeyb kev saunderson kop nunavut patrick professor redhos vladi you knows it this is updated manually, so it may take a few days before you appear here. You may want to check you are on the list at least once before the 1st of December, however
  4. This is the thread where people who have received their CD can thank their secret santa, and tell everybody else what they thought of the CD. 1) If you aren't part of SS05, don't post here 2) One post per user 3) Enjoy!
  5. Merseyside versus wales, more like it.
  6. Whoops, he got himself banned. Poor guy.
  7. It wasn't bad, but there was too much of a gap between Firefly and Serenety, in my opinion
  8. Call me evil and distasteful, but this story made me laugh out loud: Flowers and tributes were left in a Liverpool alleyway where the body of a mystery dead baby was found - before police realised it was only a chicken foetus. - BBC News
  9. Aw, I have had 2 original minis.. A 998 City and a 1275 Cooper - they were fantastic fun.
  10. I'm the biggest geek of 'em all, and I'ven't got the faintest what you're talking about
  11. I asked this question to my work mates, with the intention of writing a review. And the Mini Cooper Convertible won. No wonder - reyally: I really want one of them. I know I used to keep whining about old minis, and they are great as anything... But the new Mini Cooper Convertible is just amazing! See our results - which car would YOU get? My conclusion about the Cooper was: this car isn't about sensible. It is about feeling more alive than you ever have behind the steering wheel. When driving 5 miles per hour above the speed limit along rows upon rows of mighty oaks lining a bendy country lane, with the wind in your hair, the sun warming your skin and the stereo playing Status Quo at embarassingly loud volumes, there will not be a shadow of doubt in your mind that there is no better way to invest £15,000. Heh :D
  12. God I could just do with some pizza today. *drool*
  13. Hot damn. I never thought they'd have me in there - Norwegian data protection laws are mental - but I guess I was wrong!
  14. BTW this place is moderated quite closely, but we take things in our stride. A pair of boobies every now and again never killed anyone.
  15. Heeh, yeah, we already know that from your other thread, that was what prompted me to start this thread :) Thanks, Kev :) I would love it, but I'm skint to hell. I do love the Apple iPod Shuffle though.
  16. So, how many of you have iPods? And which one? Vote in the poll, and tell us what you think!
  17. a song is on average 4MB, so 512mb holds 128 songs. 1MB holds 256 songs or so
  18. Everton? Relegated? Cry me a river, blues.
  19. Formule 1 is probably one of the cheapest, it's just down by the docks. Bit of a walk from everything in the city, but perfectly doable, and only 2 quid in a cab from most places, if you're lazy. International Inn is probably a bit more central. CHeaper, but at least it's clean. Fucking noisy on weekend nights though.

Secretary ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0274812/ ) is slightly deeper than this, I think...
