  1. There's no injury to areola. He's just adjusting his shin pads when Taylor blows. It's fucking outrageous. And you've got to couple it to the over the top of the ankle challenge on Macca in the 1st half.
  2. Doesn't really matter what the argument is about. You don't speak to the manager like that on the touchline. If I was klopp, I'd have sat him down and told him he could go on his holidays now. He won't of course, he tried to kill the story until Mo walked through the mic zone.
  3. Another fucking shit bag performance that. The first half was a fucking disgrace and honestly aside from robbo, the 2nd wasn't much better. These players are making me more disgusted with them by the game. Just a complete lack of seriousness about the job in hand. Some of the issues are quality, Elliot, quansah, gravenberch are all young, have room to improve, but they're not good enough. Gakpos is a massive shithouse. I lost count of the number of times he just got out the way or even made it hard for players to pass to him, he doesn't want the ball. Robbo put up some fight in the 2nd half. And I was thinking about Diaz, over recent weeks he's one who has probably come out best of this bad form. Basically because he's put himself about without quality. Yet when we were in form, he was really frustrating for doing pretty much the same thing and just running down blind alleys and slowing attacks. It shows the complete drop off in them all that he's doing the same and it takes him from ampoor performer to a good one. And as for that shit with Salah on the touchline. He can fuck off with that. If I was klopp I'd have sat him down and told him to fuck off and he wouldn't be needed for the rest of the season. The cunt didn't show that fight on the pitch on wednesday..maybe if he had, we wouldn't be in this fucking mess.
  4. They've got to fight. There is no option. It's that or they sit with this till next season.
  5. I think he's signed to go through to the world cup. Nagelsmann extends Germany contract until 2026 - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68854834
  6. I hope he's said that and more to the players. They should be embarrassed by their efforts on Wednesday night. The drop off may well be in part due to klopp losing some intensity as the job nears the end. But you'd think the players, if for nothing other than selfish reasons, would be fighting tooth and nail for a chance to win the title and maintain some credit in the bank with the fans with a big derby win. Since the game on Wednesday you see loads of threads about this player being shit and that player. But fuck me. I'd have sold every last one of them on Thursday morning and honestly I don't feel much different now. There's losing and there's losing like that, bullied by one of the worst Everton teams in history. They need to start to put that right today and finish the season with some massive performances.
  7. I fucking hate these 12.30s. I don't know why anyone would not want to watch though. It gives us a chance to clean some of that shit from Wednesday night.
  8. It's the managers responsibility if Trent has been as bad and for as long as this thread is claiming, then vvd shouting at him isn't the problem. The problem is him being picked to do the same thing over again. My personal point of view is he's nowhere near as bad as some claim on here. He's not great without the ball and I think when matip is in the team, he helps him through massively. Some players need that. But for as long as I can remember, the centre back next to Trent changes game by game. With the ball, he can do things very few people in the league can do. We have to learn to harness his best assets while improving his weakest, or at least have players around who compensate. It's what teams do.
  9. It's funny he's suggesting things are to be run on an outcomes basis when they're going to a final. You'd think part of working at a football club would be to get perks like this. Does he think people should do charitable work for them to help improve his outcomes? It's a weird thing to do at a time where you would think they're trying to unite the club.
  10. I would imagine carragher will do whatever sky thinks makes good TV. The thing is, if he's shit, he doesn't have to say so, because him and Neville can go at it. It's if he's in that bit where he's alright, but isn't quite hitting the heights we have with klopp is the real test.
  11. I do get what you're saying. I guess my point is everything is about results. If he'd got them doing something shit and they were smashing it, his tactics would almost have not mattered. The same with his man management. I completely agree though some of the chumps he's managed in both Trafford and spurs should have been glad he was willing to put them on the pitch in the first place.
  12. I think what I mean about him being yesterday's man, is he would do things like play a back 6, with his 4 defenders narrow and his wingers like fullbacks. When players think that's an effective tactic, they'll go with it. They might hate it. They might not even want to do it the first time. But when it works when they don't expect to win, then they'll do it again and again and they'll buy into other ideas they may not like. Once other teams work his system out, he keeps playing it regardless and it doesn't work, well they're not going to get that last minute of a cup final type performance out of players for a whole 90 minutes. And from there that sours everything. And then when he throws one or two under the bus, like he will, the rest of the dressing room will think he's the problem and not the player. If they were winning, that type of thing is just seen as part of the magic. Especially when Pep rhymes with cunt so well.
  13. They couldn't keep it quiet forever. It surely came out because it would be found out when they tried to hire a new manager. As for why he told the club rather than keep it quiet, I think it's likely he was being fair to the club and his staff, giving them the maximum time to work out their next move. I don't think there was ever a good time. The best for our success this year would have been for him to keep quiet and announce when it's all over. But that would be unlikely to be the best for the club or ljinders etc in the long term.
  14. Funnily enough, 2 of my best mates in London support Ipswich and I had a pint with one of them yesterday lunch time. I didn't know about this Leeds goal, but he did mention how he isn't looking forward to VAR if they come up and he thinks it's shit. I'm out with the both of them on Wednesday, so I'll ask them directly, but I feel it'll be unlikely they'll have a different view.
  15. Without getting into a whole debate about klopp's style, I think the direct nature you mention is fundamental to it. It either creates a goal scoring opportunity or a chance to press and get a turnover in an advanced position. And honestly, whenever we didn't play like that, we were generally shit. I don't think we have enough players who are good at spotting a pass to play like that, as it wasn't a requirement for klopp.
  16. He could probably build a rapport with post-millenial players too if he moved with the times tactically. If his football was still relevant and successful, I'm sure a lot of the players he could still get to run through walls for him. It's just nobody is going the extra mile for yesterday's man. I think it's been clear over the years players will do almost anything on a pitch provided they think it is winning football.
  17. The big thing for me, aside from the fact he looks like he's holding back on the shooting, we've also allowed him to not have to press, but that pretty much means as a team we don't press. If he's not over his injury (which I don't believe he is), I think he might have been much more useful in the last 20 or 30 mins of games, where he might not be able to be explosive or indeed smash a shot properly, he can play those incredible through balls he's got better at over the last few years and expose the opposition as they mentally tire and maybe don't cover runs as well. My gut feeling is he and klopp have decided to give it a go and unfortunately it hasn't quite work out. Do you think Mo is playing well? Mate, he's been shite since he came back. It's not to say others haven't been shite too, but he's our world class star, his lack of form hurts us more than any other player. I think there's absolutely no doubt he playing with an injury. And we (and he) might be better if he was used more sparingly.
  18. FIFA seems more corrupt now than before when we had blatter.
  19. Doesn't matter who his biggest influence is for me. He has to have his own talent. Rodgers used to spout the same shite.
  20. And we've already got 3 in the squad and one as assistant manager. No wonder we've finished the season shite.
  21. I'm not saying it won't happen. I'm saying it shouldn't be allowed to happen. It's the point of setting a culture. In fact I have zero faith that Edwards has any idea how important that is.
  22. It all depends what's on the table and what the player wants. If someone is offering 5m for Mo, well you let him see his contract out. If that's some stupid Saudi offer, it becomes a completely different conversation. But Trent mightn't want to stay. So flog him if that's the case. Vvd might think Slot is a bellend, so he can't stay as captain. It's just not as easy for me in picking someone to go.
  23. But we don't need to throw away that culture. We need to embrace it and ensure it is not the exception, it's what is expected from LFC. The unity klopp brought across the entire club was probably the greatest thing he brought. It started day 1 when he arrived. He's not out the door yet and we're seeing signs of that bullshit. If it's Edwards, he needs his arse kicked. If it's someone in his empire, he needs to put his house in order. We shouldn't embrace mediocrity on the pitch and we shouldn't embrace it off the pitch.
  24. It is an odd accusation. But it's out there regardless. This type of internal sniping in public had been pretty much binned for the time klopp was here. But it was all too apparent before and many of the same individuals from those days are still around or have just returned. It needs to be nipped in the bud right now. It's the wrong culture and it's not just about who's responsible for each signing. That type of thing infects everywhere through to the players, managers, staff - fuck this blame culture right off. It's negative shit.
