    Good preview that. Tactical breakdown is spot on in my opinion. Don't share any of your confidence though. The players seem to have a massive inferiority complex against this lot and lack the bottle to go out and fight for it. Key for us is if we're playing one striker he has to be supported. Even Torres will get owned by Ferdinand and Vidic unless the midfield and "wingers" get up and support more.

    Whilst I'm not sure of the reasons there can be no denying the vast majority of scousers don't give a shit about England. Always been the way. Listening to Durnam then saying how gutted he was after the Croatia game, I was in the pub watching it and no one was arsed. I was in the same pub when we lost to Chelsea in the semi last season. There were tears and devastation everywhere. Also agree 100% with Carra's remarks about internationals. I've always seen them as the point where Liverpool's season gets destroyed as our star players get injured. Waste of time. Carragher is superb by the way. Hope he chooses management I can see him making it.

    I think we'll see an improved performance from Alonso if the shackles are taken off and Masch sits deep. Fingers crossed for another 3 points. Pretty depressed with the whole club situation at the moment so we need to keep doing it on the pitch!

    Good signing I am very happy with. However, I think 3rd is our best hope personally. Arsenal seem to have lost a few and not strengthened so they could be within reach. Champs league we are in with a shout but an awful lot depends on the draw in my opinion. Home second leg and you tend to go through.

    Germany play a similar sort of system to us. Attacking full backs i.e. Lahm makes a big difference to the attacking threat. Something we haven't really had since we've been playing the 4-3-3. Hopefully Dossena will solve that.
