The 32-year-old Swiss centre-back rejoins the Ewood Park club on a deal until the end of the season. Henchoz, who first signed for Blackburn from German side Hamburg for £3m in 1997, was without a club having been released by Wigan after last season. He spent two years with Blackburn before moving to Liverpool for £3.5m and spent six years at Anfield before a short spell at Celtic in 2005. With Ryan Nelsen needing an operation to solve a hamstring problem and Andy Todd unsettled, Rovers boss Mark Hughes needed to bolster his defensive options. But Henchoz will not feature at Sheffield United on Saturday as he needs time to build up his fitness.

I only got rid of Jerzy, Josemi, Zendon and Traore and then Inter asked for Xabi, I said I wanted £30m and they said yes so off he went, replaced him with Igor (900k). The one's you should keep are Kewell (god help me for saying this but he is very good in this), Crouch (scores 20 a season), Nando (also scores 20 a season), Cisse (scores 30 a season), Carson (a few years on loan and he turns out ace and Englands no1), Sissoko (was man of the match 17 times in one season, even kept Gerrard out at times), Warnock (hard as nails but does get sent off a few times), Carra (legend) and Pongy (super sub).

Some of theses are old players but are quality. Managed to win the Prem league 2 years on the bounce with these lot before being offered the Barca job (after turning down Real Madrid and the Czech national team). Am now top of the league and in the semi of the Champ League with Carra as my caption!
