PODCAST: West Ham 2 Liverpool 2 - Match Reaction

Stick a fork in us, we're done. The pathetic limp towards the finish continues with another desperately disappointing display and more points thrown away, this time against a West Ham side that looked pretty disinterested for most of the game.

TLW Editor Dave Usher is joined by Paul Natton and Stu Montagu for the latest group therapy session. The result was bad enough, the performance was worse and we also had to ensure the sight of Mummy and Daddy fighting as Klopp and Mo went at it on the touchline. Just grim.

He's an Aussie and self confessed Liverpool fan.

I knew he was an Aussie, didn't know he was a red, in that case fair does.

Is Darren Bond a red or a blue too? Otherwise it's weird that us and the shite are out for him, as are Wigan, but none of the other GM teams are.

On the subject of which games the referees get and which they don’t, I saw this list on Twitter. Apparently it came from one of the newspapers.

That's insane, a quick glance at that map may give the impression the PGMOL are getting their refs from the wrong place. Surely London can produce 1 referee?

I had a friend visiting this weekend so only just made it through the pod after a couple of failed attempts last thing at night, in my eagerness to hear it.

It's definitely different a couple of days on now – it's not as raw and I can't say I'd have been any less upset had I seen it in real time as the lads did during the recording. But I don't feel anywhere near as angry (or at all, really) as Stu and Paul about what Salah did when he walked through the mixed zone.

Was there a better way to handle it from him? Probably. Not a fan of the smirk on his face. But you guys talked a lot about pressure and what it does to people. Everything's burning down, everyone's clearly sick of the sight of each other at this point and Mo, as competitive and single minded as he is, probably feels (rightly or wrongly) this is a season of his career – and a big chance to win honours – that's being wasted due to the fact the entire focus is on the long, agonising, overly-emotional goodbye of the coach.

And I also think it was more Mo saying "If I talk today, you lot will make it even bigger than it is." Which is absolutely true by the way.

Elsewhere I thought the lads were great – especially Paul – on articulating the agony of the current predicament. And Stu made me feel a little more enthusiastic about the prospect of a new start. I hadn't really thought of it from the perspective of the hybrid neither/nor style of football we're playing at the moment.

I'm gonna sob my fucking heart out at that Wolves game, but I'm also just desperate to be in the rear view mirror now. There's no savouring these last days of Jurgen to be had. All it's doing is prolonging the misery.

Yeah. Heat of the moment caused (most) of my reaction. I’m barely arsed now.

Maybe you can apologise too when Mo does then?
