No other real similarities though. KDB is a proper midfielder, he puts in a shift too. Trent goes missing when the going gets tough and I have my doubts he can play in midfield effectively. Might as well give him a try for a few games though since Endo, Jones and Szob have all fallen off a cliff in terms of their form.
Darwin can't handle being the main man, in Jota's absence he has truly been found out. The pressure of being the central striker for a team challenging for the title has completely buckled him. A support act is the best we can expect from him...assuming he's still here next season.
Never stops trying but his finishing is bloody awful. The best of a bad bunch (excluding Jota). If Barca are serious about wanting him, there's no way we should stand in his way.
I think the goodwill Darwin had with us has now run out. He is a liability, nothing more. He more than most has cost us the title in the past 4 weeks or so.
Just have an end-of-season celebration at Anfield. A bus parade just to say bye to the manager is daft and we would laugh at another club doing the same.
It's hard to get excited about anyone other than Alonso (or Klopp staying). I'm certainly not going to be like those manc boneheads who were giddy at the hiring of Ten Hag who also came with an impressive reputation in the mediocre Dutch league. The same league Frank De Boer dominated before he was found out when he moved to a much more competitive one. If he gets the job, I'll wish him the best but I certainly don't have high expectations.
