  1. From reading the comments, I should be thankful I am working and not able to watch this. The ESPN live thread also makes for dire reading with: Possession: FC Gomel 43 - 57 Liverpool Shots FC Gomel 12 - 2 Liverpool
  2. Was rewatching the game today and we had some snide, mind numbingly awful commentating in the US, with very much an anti-Liverpool bias. We had Steve Banyard and Danny Mills. For me their 'quote of the day' was after Chelsea scored, from Banyard, which was 'My mind turning to fightbacks, to teams that have produced comebacks from 3-0 down, and NONE more famous of course than when Man Utd were 3-0 down to Tottenham and fought back to win 5-3'. Hmmm...cant think of a more famous one, perhaps involving one of the teams playing....Yeah Man Utd, that was the most famous...Dick!
  3. Absolutely gutless for the first 60 odd minutes. I feel for my kids as my commentary was laden with expletives more for the lack of effort, pathetic attempts at passing and not being able to maintain any possession let alone attack the Chelsea goal. Did we even have one shot in anger in the first half? Spearing unfortunately has to share some of the blame on the two goals as both started with a mistake from him, but at least he was showing for the ball and trying to do something with it. Subbing him was the right move at the time. The first goal was ridiculous with Enrique being held off the ball by Ramires of all people. Ramires spent more time on the ground from swan dives than he did on the ball. He dives almost as well as Drogba who was feigning injury at every bloody opportunity. Thats some recovery he's got when one minute he has a groin strain that had him receiving treatment for about 2 mins and next thing you know he is back on shielding the ball and holding people off. Henderson should be nowhere near this club - balls played backwards, to no-one at all or to Chelsea directly. His shooting was dire as well. I think the only thing he excels at is looking gormless. Downing did one thing right, even though he ran the wrong side when the ball was played to him, but he put in a good tackle for the goal - but EVERY other cross was done heads down as they were crosses to no-one including a ball in to the box before there were any Liverpool players in the box. Cole panicked and we got a corner off it, but there was no Liverpool players who could have made contact with that ball. When Downing gets it, you know that nothing is going to happen - its a sinking feeling as soon as he receives the ball. I personally think the ball was over the line, and we probably would have taken them in extra time. But to be honest, from the way we played for most of the game, we didnt deserve much from this game. Gerrard, Suarez, and Carroll when he came on, where the only ones to come out of this game with any credit. Reina should have saved both goals, but they were half arsed attempts at saves. Angry at the performance, the result, the fact that Terry is lifting the cup and the fact that Henderson and Downing lasted the whole game. Our subs bench wasnt amazing, but how Bellamy was the one subbed is beyond me. A tiring Bellamy is still more effective than Henderson or Downing. As we were chasing the game, we should have gambled and thrown another attacker (Maxi) on for Henderson. Towards the end Chelsea were bypassing the midfield with clearances anyway.
  4. Watching in Buenos Aires and the commentator is brilliant - got the long Goooooaaaaal and then launched into the Abba song 'Fernando' after Torres scored. Then starts whistling along to the Torres bounce. Commentators here are a class above.
  5. Time Crisis 4 is a fun game, although it sucks you cant get a second gun without buying two versions of the game.
  6. Just checked out the Fallout website and the first piece of downloadable content is available: Operation Anchorage Released Fallout 3’s first downloadable content, Operation: Anchorage, is now available for download on Games for Windows LIVE and Xbox LIVE. Fallout: Welcome to the Official Site
  7. Best thing is the performance improvement vs released Windows Vista - running this on my notebook and desktop now. For a beta it is incredibly stable, and it has dropped the memory and resource hog that was the sidebar.
  8. Also, there are three updates for the game coming soon - one that allows you to fight the Chinese Army in a simulation similar to a main quest task, around the end of Jan, one that opens up Pittsburgh as a location (Raider town) around the end of Feb, and one that allows you to go passed Level 20 and continue playing the game (at least for the 360) around the end of March.
  9. You can still do the Wasteland Survival Guide after blowing up Megaton - you just have to meet Moira in Underworld.
  10. Not sure on forum rules, but this seemed to be the right place to post. First time back in England in 12 years, and wanted to catch a game at Anfield. Bonus would be I'd get to see my wifes team taught a lesson by Torres et al. Missed out on the measly 500 ticket on-line deal with the official site, so thought I'd give this a try.
