It's pre-empting the inevitable new manager, mass turnover of players expectation. Same people have said the priority is a CB and Winger.
-
If Nunez continues his little temper tantrum and fucks off (getting pally with Barcelona's Araujo on instagram apparently) then I'd take a chance on Sesko even if it is a year (maybe two) too early.

While he's not going to pull off a buzz cut he does have the hairline for a solid Verbal Kint.
-
Not sure he has the hairline for that anymore, he's going for the side show bob comb over.
-
-
If he does end up staying next season, and we do sign another wide forward (preferably a left footed right sided one) then we need to do a better job at managing Salah's minutes and it needs to be made clear to him that he's going to be benched or rested for certain games for his own good.
-
They're not the only ones though. There's a reason they appointed a set piece coach and it wasn't so he could tell them to sign tall players. Their set pieces are more intentional than that (not that it doesn't help).

Journalists seem to be taking the Moyes news badly.
-
Nicolas Jover is the man responsible.
-
If he'd announced he was off to Ajax they might have burned the city down.
-
Think the league average is about 77%, this season is a bit of an anomaly as it's significantly higher than every other PL year.
-
Nunez better hope he's in the squad....unless it's Nunez they're talking about.

His comments have been switched off since 2022 apparently.

We've seen plenty of shooting practice videos where a handful of players are taking shots at the likes of Pitaluga.
-
We concede 10.83 (3.86 on target) shots per 90 compared to 8.36 (2.11 on target) for Arsenal and 7.91 (2.8 on target) for City, we've faced 390 shots compared to 301 for Arsenal and 277 for City. 139 (35.6%) of those shots were on target compared to just 76 (25.2%) for Arsenal, City's is also high at 98 (35.4%). Only a 0.02 swing in goals per shot between the three clubs We give up far more shots than the 2 teams above us and I agree entirely that it's structural.
-
He's going full petulant child then, ace.
-
Not sure goals conceded is a useful metric for assessing our defence and how over/under stated any structural issues are. Shot's conceded, where/how they're conceded and the volume of chances we give up are all better metrics. My guess is that while we're only 5 or so behind the likes of Arsenal/City we conceded far more shots we just have a really good keeper.

Unless he's burnt his bridges by having his little hissy fit he still might, new manager, new start, maybe it'll finally click for him. Next season seems like his final chance though, at the end of it he'll have two years left and the club will either have to start thinking about a new contract or sell him.
-
He's had almost unanimous support for going on 2 years, at some point he has to justify that support without people gaslighting supporters that they're the ones in the wrong to expect more.
-
He's one of the most protected players in the squad both online and in the stadium so him getting shitty because after two years the tide is turning and people are starting to want improvement from him doesn't really wash. Needs to get his head down and start listening to what the coaches must be telling him not making performative gestures on social media.

Definitely trying to post something panicked and pressed the wrong button.
-
Wasn't his first goal against us in the 4-3?

There was that one game against Utd when he inexplicably stopped running for what would have been an open goal, does that count?
-
Just out of curiosity, at what point does it become his responsibility and not the responsibility of everyone around him? He got the ball early yesterday, into his stride, and fucked it, open goals, fucked them, half chances fucked them, headers, nope, crossed along the floor in the 6 to 8 yards out, no again. The Brentford goal that someone else mentioned is symptomatic of his issue, it's audacious to try that but it's not brave, he's tried it before and he tried it after that goal and fucked it each time, it's a fundamental flaw in his make up that his first thought isn't to round the keeper and score 5 goals it's to try that and hope it goes in 1 in 20 times (although if the Toulouse attempt is anything to go by maybe the odds are about the same). *Despite the above I don't think we can get rid of him this summer, but next season absolutely has to be the turning point or he's two years from the end of his contract and we can't offer him a new one.
