  1. Look at Mr-Sticking-Up-For-Namesake here.
  2. Nah, couldn't hold a candle to Sinama-Pongolle and Le Tallec. Collectively known as Le Gems.
  3. That's just Father Time catching up on the likes of Hendo and Milner, despite the best efforts of Fab covering for them. Oh and we do certainly miss a good-looking Dutchman with a million dollar smile in the middle of the park.
  4. At-the-death winners scored by us and Arabian commentary makes me want to do a sex wee.
  5. Just like Inzaghi then. God I hated him, particularly after 2007 but that hysterical cunt knew where the back of the net was.
  6. Where's Count Morfeo when we need him?
  7. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/may/27/trent-alexander-arnold-liverpool-see-things-others-cant-see-real-madrid-final Unfortunately you didn't see that Vinicius run...
  8. Felt sorry for Minamino. Just what he has to do to get a run out I don't know. Playing well and scoring? Against Soton, check yet no dice. Jota on the other hand has been stinking the place out last couple of games and yet still got the nod.
  9. One sure-fire way to rile up a Gooner at work is to mention that goal-line handball in the 2001 final. Oh, and "Oweeeeeenn!!".
  10. Alan Stubbs possesses facial features that, while unfortunate for him, is a boon for existentialism; is it a parrot thinking it's Alan Stubbs or is it Alan Stubbs thinking he's a parrot?
  11. Well there's no telling what team he roots for but generally he digs us, writes some superb stuff in the Graun and is well regarded by his peers. Yup, he's sound. He ain't a patch on Bluto though.
  12. Seems some folks are so entrenched in their views regarding Keita that they are more than willing to overlook all the plus points he brings to the team (the ones Klopp sees in him on a daily basis in training) and choose to magnify the so-called weaknesses, shortcomings and other negativities. Missing games out injured? Losing his bearings in the opposition penalty box with only the goalkeeper to beat? Pitchforks at the ready! We've seen this talking picture before. It's titled Wijnaldum. Fingerpointer-in-chief meanwhile, hardly a peep despite some below-par performances recently. Tough crowd.
  13. Jonathan Liew is singing his praise in the Graun shortly after match report went up. https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2022/may/10/resurgent-naby-keita-keeps-liverpool-going-when-the-limbs-are-screaming Jonathan Liew is sound.
  14. Well, you must have celebrated the winner at Newcastle through gritted teeth then.
  15. Gives us something different when all else falters, at least he's a presence when crosses are being fired in and he ain't too shabby either with his flicks and whatnots as the Everton game has shown. Someone mentioned here earlier floating crosses for our 5'8" forward to attack isn't exactly a great idea.
  16. Why wasn't Origi on? Game was crying out for Big Div to give a different dimension to our faltering attack. Trent and Mo easily Spurs' best players.
  17. Haha that as well, I thought it did glance ever so slightly off his cheek? Bit naughty that from Trent, things would've got very interesting had De Gea caught it in his kisser at full pelt. As play has stopped when the goal occured, would Atkinson send him off for violent conduct or unsporting behaviour?
  18. Wasn't having a go at Trent, mind. Just thought he had a quiet first half, although that foot race between him and Mo to see who could lay it on a plate for Diaz for our opener had me chortle a bit. He did play Rashford onside though (I think) for the Manc's solitary chance from that ball over the top from inside their half. Had Rashford not bungled up his first touch, it could've easily been 2-1.
  19. Trent had a strangely off-colour game I think. Rather subdued even when he was practically encamped in the opposition half during the first 45 mins with too many stray passes, and he had an uncomfortable first 10 mins after the break against Sancho. Also none of them glorious cross-field passes to Robbo or Diaz that we've became familiar with, although Thiago seemed to have taken that mantle and then some.
