OK so we havent turned to shit over night. Or, over the last 3 or 4 games. Yes, we are in a form slump. However, you want to slice it, 2 of those games have been in the CL and FAC and, we have another bite of the CL of the cherry so even there is not all lost. We didnt play well at Norwich or at home against West Ham but we got the 6 points. Yeah, so we arent playing well and not winning, shit happens, that's football, Im not saying Watford is a one off but people just need to chill and be realistic. We're 22 points in the lead. What do you think city would prefer, them to be 22 points ahead of us or nervy fans transmitting their nerves and frustrations onto our team? It's almost a win \ win for them. Given the effort the players have put in and all the games we've played, it's no surprise the players are physically and mentally fucked right now. So they had a week off, they've been playing Sat \ Sun, Tues \ Wed, Sat \ Sun almost from the beginning of the season. There's no magic wand for Jurgen to wave, the team has to play itself into form and work hard on both the training ground and in games whether that is at Anfield or away. Every game from now until we get the 4 wins to make it mathematical is a cup final. that's 4 fucking games the crowd has to roar their lungs out, make themselves hoarse and not groan like fucks. 4 wins, that's all, it's not even all 10 remaining league games. Id rather go out tonight and get the result against chelsea in the league. It's a blessing we didnt go to extra time. It's majorly disappointing to lose any game but all teams have these spells. As for the cup, as I said earlier, city will wipe the floor with any team left in unless they get a shit ref or have an off day.

I fancy Lonergan to come on as an emergency striker and smash a hattrick in the last 3 minutes of normal time. EDIT into chelsea's goal, obviously!

Well any side is going to find chances hard against a back 6 and in those situations, you have to move the ball quickly and accurately. That's where I think we've struggled. Gini takes too many touches and invites players onto him before he releases the ball. Generally, we've been happy to stroke the ball around especially for the first 30 minutes of a game. Cant complain at that too much, it has got us where we are to be fair. Each of Mo, Sadio and Bobby have, I think, tried the little backheels and flicks in an effort to beat the massed defence a bit too much but all too often these havent come off. Trent and Robbo's crossing hasnt been as effective and one good cross from each per game isnt enough. I still think a bit of realism is required though. We've gone 44 games unbeaten, 27 since the start of the season. Arsenal's record is only 5 more games, we've not played particularly well in the last 4 or 5 games. But best of all we're still 22 points in front. Most people would be turning cartwheels at the beginning of the season if they thought we'd be 10 points clear at this stage.

Even then, Robbo was wrong side of the attacker and left him with a tap in. I agree about tonight, I think Jurgen is between a rock and a hard place. Play a weaker side and there's a good chance we'll get beat. There's no replay so all the advantage is chelsea's with ET and pens. If Jurgen play a strong side, its an extra game for the elite players when Bournemouth is the priority.
