Never in a million years is this lad a wide forward for us. We've gone from peak Sadio Mane to this lad. He hasn't looked remotely threatening in 6 games now. We would have been better off sticking with Carvalho and Ben Doak this January.

Exactly. You could also make a case for the 2016/2017 season as well. We were 5 points off the top of the league when Sadio went to the African Nations in January. Everybody was screaming out for another forward, even on loan, to come in to help out an already threadbare squad but the owners did fuck all again.

I keep hearing about this break on FFP. Is it really as simple as that though? The Premier League might be one thing, but do UEFA not have any say over any of this? I struggle to see how one club, no matter what the predicament at the time of sale, can receive a break like this? How is this fair competition for the rest of the league who have to abide (or at least make it look like they are) by the rules?

See that Leeds are gonna buy Weston McKennie from Juventues for 25m. I know he's not Bellingham, but surely at that price we should be taking a look? Desperately needs a loan move that lad but can't see how he gets it next season given we need to replace half the midfield and will need him for cover. Early signs are underwhelming aren't they? I do not see how he can play in this team as a wide player. Nowhere near the pace and directness that would be required. He could possibly fit in as a centre forward. Seems neat and tidy and could possibly be a decent foil for the lads that can run fast. Long way to go though.
