This a big blow, but shouldnt be a surprise the way Coutinho's been getting beaten on. After the last match, its clear we need some meat in the central midfield. I'd like to see Henderson and Lucas as the DMs, and have Suarez, Gerrard, and Moses supporting sturridge. Alberto can come on for Gerrard or Sturridge after they are knackered.

It would be nice to see Borini in form, and not in recovery from one of his myriad injuries. At his best he looks to be very active and especially busy within the box. Its been reported that he has a poacher's instincts, but I've yet to see that. I would guess that Borini was brought in with the thought that he might be ideal to clean up loose balls in the box after Suarez has created chaos. I will agree that niether Borini and Aspas have looked capable of picking a final pass or creating their own chances.

Count me amongst the ones who were wary of Sturridge's so called attitude problem. Turns out, he is only petulant when he doesnt play. That wont be a problem in our side.

I vividly recall feeding punchcards into a computer in primary school and thinking they (computers) had no future.

I think the back four were made to look worse than they were by the lack of midfield cover. Swansea were consistently given free passage through the center third of the park and allowed to make that distribution to the wings without contest. I think any defence would have looked poor under those circumstances.

Assuming the 50m is put towards a stellar CB or two, then the choice isnt difficult, considering his ban, his obvious want to be elsewhere, and his track record of being daft. Anyone can be replaced.
