  2. 8/9 months ago we were playing that football, it feels like a lifetime ago.
  3. It's frustrating to watch, said before it isn't doing anyone any favours him being in the team all the time including Gerrard himself, he isn't part of any solution nowadays, he's part of the problem. It boils down to Rodgers though and that man hasn't got a clue.
  4. The Europa League was never going to do them any favours, not with their squad, they spunked all their summer cash on a player they already had so they didn't really strenghten their squad over the summer. Also Martinez is as clueless as Rodgers when it comes to the defensive side of the game, he was fortunate with the solid base he inherited.
  5. Downing is right up there, absolute waste of space shithouse player, his hushing of the Kop after he scored his first league goal in something like 46 games was the most utterly braindead, moronic and insulting things i have seen a Liverpool player do, twat.
  6. Knew it wouldn't take long for Martinez to weave his magic over the solid defence Moyes left.
  7. He's a penalty waiting to happen, a couple of times he needlessly went to ground in the box again today, i like him but it's weird and wrong that he does that. You don't see many (any?) other center backs do this, he does it from a standing start too, that's the strange thing about it, just lunges in when face to face with a player instead of staying on his feet and holding his ground or trying to tackle staying upright. Sharper more clever players than George Boyd will take advantage of this at some point.
  8. They swarmed us and didn't give us an inch whenever we had possession, that's one of the reasons anyway, Dyche knew the score on that one, get in our faces with high tempo pressing and we struggle.
  9. Burnley battered us in that first half, luckily for us the key thing missing for them was their ability to put the ball in the net. Second half was just 2 poor teams scrapping around, thankfully we had that little bit of quality that spawned us a win we didn't deserve.
  10. Got away with that one big time, similar to the Saints and QPR games.
  11. So true on Gerrard, not on Lallana though.
  12. Haha, fucking hell that was abysmal, Dyche has owned Rodgers there tactically, that and they want it a lot more than us. Only positive is we are somehow still in the game.
  13. We really should win this one comfortably no matter who we put out there, Burnley are shit.
  14. This was so predictable the minute he signed for them.
  15. Same here on that one, not good. I was also on a train to London when i was a kid, 11/12 something like that, there was a thump and it was someone who had killed themselves, there were people on the side of the tracks trying to talk him out of it too, that must have been some sight for them. We didn't move for about 3 hours and in that time the train driver walked through our carriage a couple of times and he looked totally devastated, think we were going to Waterloo but got diverted to Wimbledon station out of the way, a lot of the persons remains were still hanging off and mangled on the botton of the train, nothing recognisable like fingers or feet just pure shredded meat, grim.
  16. He'd never walk away from the contract because he won't get near 30k anywhere else, either he gets paid off to leave or he gets loaned out, one of those options should have been done a long time ago.
  17. That's right, it is one of the most basic rules of management as well, you don't play systems your players are not suited too, you play systems that your players are suited to even if it goes against your philosophy, if you don't have the players to play the way you ideally want then you wait until you do have them. Thing is though what's even worse is that he buys players that don't suit his systems/style of play at all, that's just fucked up no matter what way you look at it, Mignolet is probably the prime example of it. As you say you make the best of what you've got, that's what Rodgers get paid millions of pounds a year to do, he's really got no excuses now as this is his squad which he has spent a fortune on. To have taken 4 months into the season to have finally found a system that has us creating some chances at long last is an absolute joke on his part, and of course it's still too much to ask of him to create something that even remotely looks like a competent defence. Bah Humbug!
  18. That really is a shocker, even for us.
  19. Think it was from van Persie, dipping volley from the edge of the box he tipped over, it was a decent save to be fair but one you would still expect even Jones to make, i think.
  20. Thought he was even worse against United, he really doesn't justify a place in the starting 11 anymore, if Rodgers does get sacked then him playing Gerrard week in week out would definately have contributed to it, we look a better team without him in it, especially defensively. If Rodgers is sticking with this 343 then put Moreno on the left and move Markovic over to the right and pick from Henderson and Can to play in the middle with Lucas.
