    i meant that season..he was a shit signing then. on that season had we built on our first title charge and actually kept hold of alonso we would have been in a much better place. how many games did aquilani start for us? paying that much for an injured player who went on to play only 15(?) times for us was poor. and no dont assume i am having a dig at rafa. i am just pointing out that he did make some fuck ups transfer wise. ngog i trust seems to think hodgson who brought poulsen and konchesky would have done better with the money spent this season.

    agree. shelvey actually isnt afraid to try things out of his comfort zone and doesnt look short on confidence like henderson. remember shelvey tried to chip van der sar from the half way line. not short on confidence. would rather have him over adam and henderson. also adam needs to be dropped for him to realize how shit he has been. he's an automatic starter now but isnt performing like one. edit: although adam's dives do help to get free kicks..commentators always surprisingly confident it's a foul whenever he dives.
