Agree Adam is poor but the fee we paid was minimal, the saying you get what you pay for was made for that purchase. Try and apply that same saying to Carroll and you realise we have just seen the Epic Swindle MkII If I was Carroll I'd spend all summer at Melwood trying to get an edge on prem defenders but we all know the hairy fucker will be pictured at a myriad of locations with beer in hand... he'll come back fresh with a goal target of scoring 5 for the season... the saddest thing is I don't think he'd score 5.

What matters is whose buying players in the future. FSG have to make sure they understand the implications of spending crippling amounts of money on pretty much nailed on failures. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but did we even need it? Lots of threads on here stating how poor our signing were. Kenny needs to admit some buys just haven't worked out, move them on and FSG need to back him again in the transfer market. If not then what is the point, they need to move him upstairs and get someone in who they will back. Otherwise I fear next season will see some new lows!

There is a direct correlation between the purchase of big Andy and our chronic lack of goals. Kenny needs to get shut in the summer , get as much as we can for him, accept a monumental fuck-up was made and move on. If we persist for another season then expect more of the same. The most frustrating outcome for me would be the head in the sand approach where we don't admit we have a problem and start spinning lines about big Andy being bought for 5 years etc -

Somewhere down the line someone will be held accountable for Carroll, I hope its Comolli. £35 Million fee, £20 Million wages, 10% sell on fee, the absolute fucking pinnacle of crazy, stupid, idiotic deals that our club has been involved in. He needs drop kicking and replacing with an actual striker, downing needs a rocket up his arse (there is a decent winger in there somewhere, we just have to look a bit deeper), Adams reduced to a squad member, Maxi and Bellamy regular starts, all this equals a top 4 place in the fucking bag! Easy this management lark !

I usually get to my seat 30 mins before KO, I'll sit there watching the lads doing warm up and shooting practice. The likes of bellamy , suarez and maxi consistently knock the ball into the net, the trainer throws the ball they run up , bang its a goal, well done, Next Downing, adam or carroll step up , trainer throws the ball . if carroll doesn't end up on his arse then usually the ball is up around block 20X, same for downing, his shots are exactly the same as during the game, fucking miles over. I actually thought downing had a good game by his standards yesterday, however his shooting was still very poor. Is it a lack of skill or training for these players? PS does anyone know what that banner is about underneath the scoreboard "There's a light that never goes out" with a picture of Sid James next to it

The team is a joy to watch this season, admittedly the lack of a cutting edge in front of goal has been frustrating as hell but after the last few years of shite on and off the pitch, it's great to be talking about nothing but the team. Agree with the comments about downing, he's been like that for most of the season, started off OK but his form has dipped and dipped and dipped. He's scared, never wants the ball and never looks to take his man on, however unlike Carroll I think it's just form and he can easily turn it around.

however his price tag is completely relevant in terms of us moving forward as a club, it is highly doubtful we will have that sort of cash to throw around again in the near future, so the longer we are out of the champions league the harder it will be to dislodge other clubs who will use the extra money to further develop their squads! You look how strong the competition for 4th place is these days and you realise how hard the task facing the manager is. A further point, it seems like we are picking players each week based on how much was shelled out for them. The nucleus of the team should only include players who are there on merit(i.e. Maxi) and not players who have a big price tag (i.e. Downing, some home games we persisted with him when he maybe should have been rested), with maybe the option of a tactical change or two.

How long before Kenny realises he's made a monumental fuck up with Andy Carroll? The lad not only brings the square root of fuck all to our attack but actually allows the opposition the luxury of doubling up on Suarez. 17 goals so far, tells you all you need to know about our attack. Maxi or kuyt starting in place of Carroll and the ref would have had no bearing on the game! frustrating as hell

We need to increase our attacking options in Jan of that there is no doubt. Our rivals for a top 4 place are banging goals in from all over the park. It was frustrating as hell to see Norwich and Swansea conceding goals left right and centre yesterday, We couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo against both of em! We need another option up front and the king needs to find that fluidity in attack that we have seen on occasion, not only is it effective but its fucking great to watch... Gives me goosebumps and takes me back to when we were the fucking absolute dogs bollox.
