    We have a long way to go before we can field 11 players who understands the pass and move idea, and can turn it into action. Kuyt might understand the idea, but he will never be a valuable part of a team that wants to dominate teams with pass and move. N'Gog falls through as well. Jovanovic is a no brainer. Maxi - once a very good player - is very much over the hill. So is Aurelio, but Aurelio has better understanding and fits better in and can do a job. The defenders aren't the problem here. They all are doing allright in this department as I see it. Suarez will be a great little player for us.

    Indeed. This nonsense that every player peaks when they are 28 is doing my head in. As I see it, Torres - as Owen - has lost that little yard of sheer pace, and are kind of adapting his style to it. Still good, but slightly different.

    hopefully Suarez and gerrard play behind/next to Torres. Lucas, Meireles and someone else in a midfield 3 (Adam if he gets on board) Kelly and Johnson providing the width for now. It is the best we have on paper.

    Most exciting signing in years. Will massively improve our first 11. He is a kind of player we haven't had before. He will most likely take som time to adapt, but he has a massive "it factor"
