Matip is just your run of the mill average bordering on at times very good defender. We got him on a free and for that hes been good value. You could easily see him playing for Arsenal or the Mancs. Maybe even City at a stretch. Lovren on the other hand has been 20 million of countless fuck ups following a fairly average bordering on poor career. I think hes unbelievably lucky to have made it to end up playing for us. He wouldn't get on the first 11 of most premier league teams these days. Despite the system being difficult for our defence over the past few years. Lovren has been the direct result of many of the goals we've conceded going back to the day he joined. He simply has to go.

Jimmy dissappeared after the summer window. Id say his summer contract in Boston was up.

Its the type of post that will drive some into a rage but theres definitely some truth to it. Id argue 2 years isnt enough to turn around a squad like ours entirely. But its also very true its enough time to have recruited better than we have done. Its just pretty much at that same point we've been at with other managers. Klopp just has to do better.

Pretty much the exact same path we've been on before. He'll get this season no matter how bad it might go barring relegation form which we wont hit. We'll probably limp along in reach of a top 4 place, rally near end of season but ultimately fall short by a few points. He'll then get the summer to fix things and it'll be that window that he lives or dies by. Fuck it up yet again and he wont last next season. Get it right and we'll probably have another good season and finish top 4 easily. Thats pretty much how I'd guess things will play out.

The money we've wasted has been pretty much a direct result of their actions. They hired Kenny which to be fair was the right move at the time but then let him lose to waste millions on players 80% of the fanbase knew would be a bad idea. Then same with Rodgers albeit there was so much bollox going on with the committee(again their decision to persist with) its hard to properly assign blame to anyone. It was just a clusterfuck. To be honest I would agree with the general sentiment that they havent underinvested to a degree. I do think they could have gone a bit further on more than a few occasions. But we've spent enough that we should be doing better. But its been their stewardship of the club that has led to the spunking of money on dross. They simply have never had a clue about the football side of things and I dont think they ever will.
