  1. To be honest I haven’t seen much of this blind loyalty on here of late. Probably one or two posters, the rest that to various degrees still have faith in Nunez seem to agree that he’s been off form of late. Also that his chance conversion over time hasnt been good enough I reckon most will acknowledge. I’ve seen far more blind rage than blind loyalty.
  2. A balanced view, and agree with most of it. It seems however we need to get rid of Salah first. He’s been going backwards for a couple of years now, and this season has been very poor. The team has looked significantly better when he’s been out, and the sample size is pretty decent now. His numbers are still decent, but you could say the same about Zlatan and Ronaldo at United. But none of them made the team better, and I think we’ve Come to that stage with Salah as well. Probably not a good idea to let both go at the same time, and Salah clearly needs to go first of the two, based on how much they bring to the team and of course also age and wages.
  3. He’s not flawless, and I dont have any idea how good he is as a captain. But judging him as a player he is still one of the best CBs in the world, probably the best. He’s the most difficult player to replace in the current squad.
  4. He’s off form, like the rest of the team. He’s shown plenty of quality, but the finishing has not been good enough, and has gotten worse of late. Needs to improve obviously, and as one of his fans I have no problem admitting that I’m starting to doubt if his finishing will ever be good enough. We’ll see next season probably. Some of the comments on here however are just laughable, at least opposing fans would find it amusing. The kind of stuff we ridicule the Bloos for.
  5. World class player in a team out of form. He’s out of form as well it seems, but no doubt about his class. Can play any position in midfield, DM not his best position but can definately do a job there.
  6. Diaz head and shoulders above the rest here. Also Eliott done well so far. If we’re up for it we could still avoid defeat here.
  7. Poor half from us, at least as long as the ref gave them a free kick every 30 seconds for their diving. For some strange reason that stopped for the last 15 minutes, and after that we played well and should have scored at least two. Key here is to be patient and keep playing. Once the ref allows some actual football to be played we’re by far the better team, and could well score two or three in 15 minutes against them, despite being well off our best form. Suspect the ref to take control again in the second half though, and give them all the free kicks they dive for, and allow all sorts of time wasting and cheating to prevent football being played. And of course we need to be able to finish. All three forwards with some shocking finishing in that first half, there is just no calmness and composure there. Salah actually the worst example, with two terrible attempts within two seconds.
  8. Our finishing is a joke, and I think it’s fair to say it’s not Núñez’ fault alone.
  9. Never a free kick that, the ref is on a mission here, and he’s the main reason they’re in front.
  10. I’m a big fan of Nunez, but that’s a truely awful finish. Hammering it straight at the keeper.
  11. Pretty sure the diving wont work both ways. Well as i type that Mac Allister goes down, guess what happens.
  12. This. And it’s a massive influence on the game so far. Expect them to hit 30 free kicks tonight.
  13. Well here we go. Free kicks are 9-1 so far. This will never be a game of football.
  14. The ref is doing an 80-20 job on us. Giving them every single decision he can, and they dive in every duel. Handing them 25 free kicks will improve their chances massively.
  15. I predict around 23 free kicks to the team in blue, and perhaps 4 to the team in red tonight.
  16. Offside thankfully, but getting sick and tired of conceding chances after Robertson getting caught out of position. Happens far too frequently.
  17. I agree upon the part about world famous players with inflated egos. We dont know how a manager like Slot will do on that part, not least combined with the pressure and expectations at a club like Liverpool. One of the main things behind Klopps success however, is picking the right characters in addition to being good players. If you manage that part you’ll reduce the risk from inflated egos.
