One of the disadvantages of having a good first team is the squad options are always going to be a step down, unless you can pay massive wages to shut them up.     According to the Napoli forums I was reading at the time he wanted what he was getting here, yeah. His agent, though, said he was prepared to take a huge cut because he was desperate to get out, but Napoli had gone cold anyway and were ignoring his calls because they'd set their sights on another left back. Lots of misinformation flying round about these deals as per, but I wouldn't believe an agent if he told me my name.

    Load of bollocks all that about Rafa blocking the deal, he was desperate to get rid. Dossena's agent admitted himself that Napoli had gone cold and completely blanked him (due to his wage demands) which was confirmed on plenty of Napoli forums at the time. He only said we'd put as stop to it to save face, hence him now mouthing off again to try and resurect the interest. Any chance for a dig though. The truth shall set you free.

    The only way we'd fill a 70k stadium with even more replicad up bells on a regular basis is with a winning team, which isn't likely given the team is regressing and they don't have the funds to do something about it. Their business plan is based on the Glazer model, without taking into consideration the mancs 20 year dominance, far higher demand and superior commercial appeal.

    The stadium will never happen, these two can barely keep their heads above water as it is, and the last thing we need is another 400 million debt millstone round our necks, without the resources or demand to pay for it and make a profit on top. Ideally we'd gradually redevelop the current ground, but there's not enough corporate profit in that is there.

    Ayala is a better header of the ball than Skrtel now and far more aggressive in general, which is what we're lacking at the back at the moment.
