  1. Yeah it's pretty mad that Dier,Matheson and Sancho all get bombed out of Spurs,Chelsea and the mancs yet all 3 in the Champions league semi finals Even funnier that Dier looks the best CB they have over Kim,Upamecano and de Ligt
  2. He is definitely off the charts in terms of being caught offside or missing big chances. Not so much when its goals vs expected goals. To be fair he has been far better this year than last but he still looks clumsy as fuck and his touch is bang average to often in the area. When you look at his stats of scoring goals its pretty average at best and the only outlier is that one season in Benfica when everything he hit went in. Outside of that 16 in 32 in the Spanish second division and 6 in 29 for Benfica. I would probably sell Jota first purely because he is only fit 50% of the season and then takes a few weeks to get going. But we need another goalscorer
  3. Not sure of the rules but yes it seems far easier for South Americans to get over there with no problems, i think Belgium is similar.
  4. Hopefully the new finance rules kick in somewhat and at keep the market stable, doubt it. But even mediocre players are going for the 40-60ml range. Also as much as i detest the multi club thing i get why the club are doing it and hopefully it allows us the buy the players that step earlier. We could buy Virg,Gini etc after they made the step into English football. Similarly we supposedly looked at the likes of Enzo,Verala etc when in Argentina but felt they needed to make a move before we could buy them because unlike City,Chelsea we have never really been able to take punts on players that might not get games unless they are super cheap. So hopefully if we find a club in Portugal,Belgium we could get these types bought and loaned out or let the other club buy them and buy them if they progress
  5. I would say so. We won't want to be miles away but maybe 3rd, a bit of the title but not neck and neck late. Mostly because it's a new manager and a season with little preseason with the Euros so will need some time to settle. If we get off to a good start though who knows as City are not the same side and surely Arsenal are not going to continue to be as lucky with injuries or playing teams with major injuries
  6. Maybe I like what I've seen but his age will count against him at that fee. Last year was the time to buy him
  7. Gakpo is a better 9 than a winger. When he joined he did a decent job at times playing as Bobby did. His link up play was better. But as we moved into a newer style with Nunez and inverting Trent he has fallen off. What I do like with him is he makes proper forward runs in the box, especially to the back post for tap in. He will suit a more patient build up. If he played as the forward next year in the set up that Slot has played at Feyenoord I reckon he gets around 15 league goals if we adapt and play well
  8. Gyökeres has looked superb this year when I've watched. The concern is its Portugal, although he did well at Coventry aswell but he does turn 26 in a month and if you are going to blow 60/70ml on him you'd be better paying more for someone more likely to guarantee success
  9. This Though Leicester will likely have a deduction when they come up. Leicester Ipswich and one of Leeds,Southampton, West Brom,Norwich or Hull should hopefully be better than the dross this year
  10. I put it forward but agree mostly. I do think in plenty of games, especially at home with more solid fullbacks you could play it.
  11. On a lesser level Michael Vorm to Swansea. Dembele(Fulham/Spurs)Tadic(Southampton), Kudus has started really well Robben though that was years ago Hyypia though even longer
  12. Also Gini to Newcastle Christian Eriksen to Spurs
  13. Yeah its not his first position, just saying that it looks like he will play a CB wide if needed and if they can. Im not really suggesting it as a long term thing. Ideally you get a younger version of Robertson. To come in.
  14. If you are trying to be more solid for away games, if you want to play Trent i think he could also do a job on the right side of the attacking 3. Alot imo depends on Trents attitude which seems to have been a issue with him defensively(at least imo), maybe a move to midfield will get him doing the dirty work/maybe not
  15. He has played at LB at times since joining. 13 at LB and 38 as CB. Hanko is 27 in december so i doubt he is a target for us anyway
  16. Think you could see something like this against the non top 8 clubs, you would likely be a bit vunerable at times but having more fullbacks that are defensive, but still having the ability to overlap would cover some of that. Without the ball Szoboszlai and Mo swap positions and Szoboszlai drops back into the midfield.
  17. He often plays Geertruida as one fullback and has shifted Hancko out there when needed.
  18. If we have a good pair of fullbacks i think in many home games and a fair few of away games we could quite easily get away with Trent and Mac Allister as the pivot, providing Trent switches on to the workload now he is playing where he wants. If signed Geertruida and played him or Bradley at RB and Robbo/Another at left back
  19. The second part is similar to what ive read. Both stay inside but when the team gets forward they are expected to then get wide as he likes to flood the box. I guess we will see soon enough Regular full-backs Marcus Pedersen and Quilindschy Hartman would remain deep in the build-up, but then support in more advanced areas as play progressed up the pitch. Here, the double pivot would support underneath to restart attacking moves or switch play. With Feyenoord’s right-winger often moving inside to support the number 10 earlier than the equivalent in Slot’s AZ team, the resulting midfield box could overload opposing central-midfield trios. This gave the double pivot the opportunity to break lines centrally as well as dominate the ball in the first phase of the build-up. Attacking quartets At AZ, Slot’s double pivot supported underneath the main attacking quartet of number 10, two wide attackers and centre-forward. The full-backs started deep and wide, to eventually support with delayed runs as the front four narrowed. In the 2019/20 Eredivisie season, full-backs Jonas Svensson and Owen Wijndal provided 44 per cent of the team’s crosses
  20. We would need another left back then. Reading about Slot tactics he wants his fullbacks to push wide in the final third to get the ball in the box, last thing you need with that would be a right footed leftback cutting back inside and slowing the play down
  21. He would be further down than that until we sell someone Tyler Morton would be ahead of him for a start after a good season at Hull and having played in a 2 man midfield in a similar formation.
