Pay to watch Lucas pass sideways and Kuyt fail to control a football and Aurelio tear down the left flank - hard decision!

Witch Hunt - out of the champions league at the group phase, out of carling cup and seventh in the league. A squad full of mediocre players like Lucas, Kuyt and Insua. Former liverpool players like Bellamy, Crouch and Keane performing well for their respective teams. Relying on a 20 yr old to lead our forward line, being too arrogant to buy another forward knowing Torres is injury prone. Forcing Alonso out! Spending 18 million on a right back when the team needed a striker and another midfielder. Buying a midfilder who has been out for 3 months. Operating a system that has seen us conceded12 set peice goals - the most in the league! Continuing to play Kuyt even though he has been abysmal, Continously backing Lucas and not giving Babel a run of games. Sending out a liverpool team that has two defensive midfielders and kuyt and Aurelio as the wingers. I wonder why he has been getting hammered! :whoops:

Are you Rafa Benitez?? Last season we had Alonso and Keane, this season we are using Lucas and N’Gog – I’ll let you work it out. This season we have looked hopeless without these two playing, we have been unable to beat mediocre opposition. If you want to believe that Liverpool do not rely on Gerrard and Torres then you are beyond help. Against Arsenal Torres scored 2 goals so I don’t know where you got that from. Unfortunately, 3 games where the team plays out of its skin does not dictate a 38 game season. Because any sort of player who has flair is unlikely to succeed under a manager who is obsessed with technicalities. Gerrard was a player rafa inherited, Torres is a great player but he would be great anywhere else. You have to question why players like Babel, Keane and Bellamy are unable to succeed under this manager. My feeling is he doesn’t let these players express themselves. The point I am making is Liverpool lack invention, this is something that a flair player brings none of the players you mentioned bar Torres and Gerrard can do this hence reliance! Goals a game doesn’t suggest we play good football, we can thrash the hopeless crap at Anfield that doesn’t necessitate that we pass the ball well – too simplistic an understanding to measure it against something which is visual and not factual i.e. goals scored. You mention the United game, no one can argue against what was a great result but if you watch the game we scored via a pen, free kick and two long balls from the keeper – that doesn’t equal good football, a brilliant result nonetheless. I have never rated Kuyt, he simply is not a good enough footballer to start for Liverpool fc, and when he is in poor form he is abysmal. As to the goals tally it was very impressive but people who are quick to suggest this always fail to mention the number of times he actually started up top last season. You mention Lennon, I think I would have Lennon over kuyt any day, his delivery is inconsistent (though on the evidence of the last match it is clearly improving), Kuyt fails to even get the ball under control yet alone worrying about finding a teammate.

I get the impression that the flair players at Valencia were bought by the sporting director - Does rafa like a player like aimar? Luis Garcia is the only flair player that rafa has been able to get a decent return with. Bellamy was wasted! would we have him on the right instead of Kuyt? I would even have Cisse there ahead of Kuyt. We just play crap football, which is dependent on Torres and Gerrard.

I support Babel here, i dont agree with going to the press and he has to play better but he never gets a run of games playing right midfield. Kuyt is holding down a position playing football fit for sunday league. Babel would certainly be more effective there, yes he would frustrate at times but every so often we would get some end product. With Kuyt we get frustration and no end product. As long as Rafa is unable to nurture skilfull players we will continue to play rudimentary football that relies on players like Kuyt and Aurelio provided our offensive width.

Kuyt just isn't a good player, he gets the odd goal but you would expect that as he is a striker. Yes, he is playing out of position but that's because he is a woeful striker. The presence of having effective wingers makes a massive difference on a team, look at lennon yesterday - 4 or 5 assists. Kuyt invariably falls over or cant beat the opposing defender. Rafa needs to wake up, money is tight but he could have loaned several players and that goes for strikers as well. But he is too stubborn to ever accept that the squad was no way near good enough and that zonal marking can look good when you have Hyypia and Crouch at over 6ft 4 defending them! How can Kuyt not be dropped or ever be subbed he wouldn't look out of place in the championship, he has absolutely 0 ability. I am astounded how he could ever score that many goals in Holland. If we got a 10 million bid i would take it within a second. The basic requirement for a football player has to be the ablity to trap a ball and turn quicker than a German U boat.

I hope Rafa watched this and saw the benefit of having effective wingers playing and not the likes of kuyt who breaks down so many attacks for us. Niko at 2.0 - what a steal, why the hell did we not go in?

Rafa bought the fucking players, so if the team is shit who fault is that? we cant beat fulham, birmingham has it got that bad? who selects kuyt every week, who forces him to play insua? who entered the season with only Torres knowing he is injury prone. Relies on Gerrard with the knowledge that he is injury prone as well. Buys aquilani who has missed 1/3 of the season. Its all his own doing!!!

Lucas is nothing more than a bench player, Insua is dogshit and kuyt is just looking less like a footballer every week. No touch, no mobility just a workhorse - absolute no quality. Zonal marking!!!!! once again - change the fucking system. Stubborness is rafa's problem but the facts are there 12 goals conceded from set plays. Adebayor gets a free header in the six yeard area, what a joke!

Kuyt is a terrible football player, he has no technique, pace, ability and cannot pass well. To think he gets the role in the team that requires a player with the most ingenuity to have (the hole). He has just been so brutal for a while now and its costing the team when he continously breaks up our attacks with his woeful play. He is not good enough for liverpool football club - how this guy scored 70 goals in 100 games in Holland is beyond me. He works hard and has a big heart but there is something wrong about seeing this sort of player just scampering around the pitch in the Liverpool red - we are better than that.

This is the problem i have with our fans they overhype mediocrity (Insua, Kuyt and Skrtel), Lucas had an average to decent game. Personally, i thought he got caught in possession too often and as for him being great yesterday, we had 75% possession so of course he was going to make passes. When he came off it was inevitable as he was dwelling too often on the football, he still lacks the ability to inject any tempo into the game. Aquilani will make a major difference.

Dirk Kuyt is fucking useless, absolutely no technique or ability on the ball, simply not good enough for liverpool. Another crap performance, Lucas reverted back to needing an eternity on the ball! I cant stomach this crap anymore!

Which he backed up with clips - Insua is a poor player and could have done much better for the first and second goals. Plus he spoke about his performances in the last 4 games in which he has been abysmal!

Insua is a poor player, he nearly cost us against Manu with a sloppy back pass. Today he was abysmal, I have never rated him, just some liverpool fans as usual singing his praises when in fact he is mediocre to poor. SImply not good enough and we have conceded a lot of goals due to his lack of pace and poor positioning. Glad Hansen pulled him up on it, because some people are clearly oblivious. Rafa is sticking by too many poor players!

i am referring to this season, the interchange in our game was very good, look at the Ngog back heel for degen, the degen and Voronin exchange - it was good to see us playing good football like that. As for the negative people complaining about our midfield, those guys played against 3 players. Ramsey cost 5 million and is no mug Merida, Nasri and co were all able to interchange as well - we didn't do that badly. Arsenal always have a knack of passing around team's midfields, they do that to our first team ffs. How people can complain about our performance is beyond me, Arsenal put out a decent team and we more than matched them. The negatives are probably Skrtel, Kuyt and Babel weren't too great but lets look to the positives - Ngog, Aquilani, Degen, Insua, Voronin's improvement second half!
