That was 3 years ago and Robertson only had a year left on his contract. I don't think Lewis is worth £20 million,but young British players nearly always cost way over the odds.

The problems we have though is that we only spent £8 million on our fullbacks. We would have to spend a fortune to get a decent backup for either of them and most good players wouldn't want to come here to be backup to either of them. For Right Back we are fine. TAA, Williams or Milner. Left back is a real problem though. I can sort of understand the logic of getting Elliot to practice playing in that position, as he looks a long way from being ready for the front three yet, but would at least have the pace, energy and natural left foot needed to fill in for Robertson. Presumably needs a lot of work defensively though?

Sancho is a good player with potential to improve, but is he worth the 90/100 million United are allegedly paying? I don't think he's THAT good. The even weirder thing is that they have Mason Greenwood playing in the same position who looks incredibly talented. None of there back 5 are anywhere near as good as ours. In midfield they have Pogba and Bruno who are good on their day, but inconsistent. In the last two windows United have spent around a quarter of a billion on Sancho, Maguire, Wan-Bisaka and James and none of them would start for us!

He would prefer to come here but we won't make a move for him. As far as I can tell United are the only club willing to pay the huge fee for him.

This is nonsense. Ferguson saw a lot of himself in Moyes (No idea why?) It was a sentimental decision and he really thought Moyes could continue where he left off. I think Ferguson lost his way a bit towards the end. The interview where he said Phil Jones would go on to become their greatest ever player was barking mad!

I much prefer working from home. Went back in the office a few weeks ago and initially hated it, got to a point where I'm ok with it now, but would still prefer to work from home. For me its a number of reasons. The main ones are that I'm not a social/chit chat type of person. If i'm on the phone people have this weird habit of butting in and sometimes even trying to tell me something whilst i'm talking to a customer! Also we often have long periods of time in the winter when we aren't busy so I have to sit around for 8 hours dragging out 2-4 hours work over 8 hours. If I was at home I would just get it done and then relax. The bad news is my boss has already decided that we need to expand the office rather than offer a work from home option, so I think will start to look for something different in the future.

Villa want £80 million for him apparently! In normal times that would have been a crazy amount. In these covid times that's beyond insanity!
