That will be the biggest problem though. Pro Brexit supporters wont vote for him, and they are the seats that Labour need to win. They see him as one the old guard that tried to block Brexit and force a second referendum.
-
I think its a bit harsh to compare him to Woy! In the eyes of most peope Startmer would be seen as far more capable than Corbyn or Johnson. The real problem Labour have is that they don't have a Klopp level MP. Ideally Labour need a strong leader from a working class background who has made a success of them self. Is a good orator, won't be percieved as too pro EU or pro Brexit. I don't really see anyone that meets all the criteria?
-
Yeah I think they have used Johnson for Brexit, but will push for him to step down and for a more 'moderate' Tory Leader to come in. If they Bash Boris too hard though they could lose a lot of their newfound working class support. In the same way a lot of Pro Corbyn supporters aren't happy with Starmer, Pro Johnson supporters won't be happy if he is forced out. Unlike Corbyn though, i'm 99.9% certain Johnson will fuck politics off all together and go in to whatever area makes him the most money once he steps down.

Isn't it too late to register players for the Champions League now anyway? If we were signing a new keeper we'd have done it by now. -

A tweet from Bill Esterson about how a huge PPE contract was given to a newly founded company connected to the Tories rather than an established company in Formby.

Japans obesity rate is significantly lower than UK/America. Less than 4%. They have grown up in a culture of wearing masks when you are ill, using 'sunbrellas' to avoid getting tanned. Its no surprise to me at all that Japan are dealing with Covid better than most countries.

If the government pressed ahead with a strong herd immunity plan and your mum died as a result of it, would you be ok with that? That's essentially the scenario you are putting to the public.

Sadly this is how I feel now also. The Labour party seems like its doomed with both sides of the party constantly at war with each other. It shouldn't have to be a case of voting for the tories or not the tories.

No chance! its oven ready. Just needs to go in the microwave.

I am as skeptical as about a vaccine, but there is now a suggestion that it could be ready next year. If that is the case, then the best thing we can do is try to limit the spread as much as possible over the winter.

I've answered my own question. Coronavirus: New restrictions for England likely on Monday; https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-54457377

A lad that my best mate plays football with was hospitalized with Covid yesterday. The lad is in his 30's and in pretty good physical shape. Starting to get pissed of with the lack of decisive action in this country now. We seem to be just dithering again? Is England likely to follow Scotland with the pub closures?

Must have got CAS involved again?

The difference is that Labour have lost way too many seats that they used to win without even trying. As an example, Mansfield was lost in 2017, having not elected a Tory for 80 years, and now the walking libel suit Ben Bradley has a 17,000 majority. Other Labour seats lost in 2017 and 2015 are similar. They are running in fourth place in many Scottish seats now. I honestly don't see a way back for Labour any time soon. Brexit voters won't vote for Starmer, and Labour may lose some of the hardcore Corbyn supporters to the green party or by not voting at all.

There's something fishy about these latest poll results. It's convenient how Labour always take the lead around the same time the tories and some of their backers start to lose patience with their leader.

We need a new GK, Adrian is worse than useless.
Megadrive Man replied to Code's topic in FF - Football Forum
I remember last year saying that having Adrian in goal was better than Mignolet purely because of the amount of mistakes Mignolet made meant the team didn't trust him. Now we are in the same situation with Adrian. Any new goalkeeper coming in would be 'better' on the basis that they would be given a fresh start. Its absolutely crazy to go in to a 6 week period of games facing Everton, Man City, Atalanta and Ajax with Adrian in goal. Surely even now we could sign somebody like Tim Krul, Asmir Begović or Ben Foster if we pulled our finger out?- 183 replies

Aston Villa 7 Liverpool 2 (Oct 4 2020)

Same! I remember saying a while back that Kane wouldn't get in our team ahead of him, but Kane is now playing his role better, and is obliviously way more clinical. If they can get Bale fit and firing, they will be a nightmare to play against. -

Seen this on the BBC page; The story no-one's reporting - Man Utd have been very aggressive in the youth-level transfer market: Marc Jurado (Barca), Alejandro Garnacho (Atletico), Charlie McNeill (City), Álvaro Fernandez (Real), Willy Kambwala (Sochaux). That's an exciting list. Sounds like are going for a class of 93 type approach? -

If United sign these two young wingers, they won't be going back in for Sancho anytime soon. -

Hopefully Thiago and Henderson will be back for the next game? It should be 3 from Them two, plus Fabinho, Widjnaldum and Milner for the foreseeable future. We need strong leadership and high concentration levels. I would put Joel Matip back in as soon as he's fit again as well. -
