    I also checked out something that I overheard someone say at the game yesterday; we have one of the smallest pitches in the league.

    Watching the last few home games i've come to a few conclusions- 1. I think players have been told not to flood the box- earlier in the season we were destroyed by teams breaking on us-solution has been to not allow that space by keeping CMs deep. Secondly we are incapable of winning the ball back, so solution agian is to be cautious in position and not give the ball away. I think sadly Kenny must have Rafa's blueprint in his training manual as 'control' seems to be the name of the game at the moment.

    So when will the whinging start about tickets for this one? In the end, and despite all the 'outrage', every ST holder i know got a ticket for the City game. The arrangements for the Utd game seem remarkably fair to my mind, and I didnt even attend the Oldham game so probably wont get a ticket.

    The longer it takes the more complex the case and that can only work in our favour.

    I reckon a guilty charge with a 3/4 game ban cleverly positioned so he doesn't miss crucial games and short enough to make it worth a Liverpool appeal.

    And that's the problem, it's the details not the overall policy that's the problem. Previous League Cup attendance is the only thing that should have been added as the first point of call but after that I dont see much wrong. I would have liked to have seen the qualification for members being higher, maybe 9 games. ST holders have their chance and didn't take it.

    Now reading the SOS statement's calculations you wonder what the fuss will be about. There's no way that ever member will take up the allocation nor every season ticket holder. No way has this been done right but only a tiny minority will actually miss out.

    My username has nothing to do with Gerrard. His 'injuries' have been getting increasingly bizarre and he's now basically missed a season. We saw it with Fowler/Owen/macca to a lesser extent and others too but at nearly 32 he won't have the time/body to recover. He's run himself into the ground over the past 10 years and i'm sorry to say it but I don't think he's got anything left. The fact that he won't retire from England also annoys me greatly.

    Interesting to compare this with the Man City semi ticket thread which idolises Season Ticket holders as the club's best fans. In terms of atmosphere I've always noted the increased noise at Arsenal for cup games where non-ST fans actually get tickets.

    Wow what a head fuck of a case. So many issues raised. Is calling someone a nigger worse than parking in a disabled parking bay? worse than splitting up a family through infidelity? worse than match fixing? worse than being sexist? It's such a subjective judgement that the FA are opening up a minefield if you choose to look at the issue more broadly. Which nobody ever does.

    I got all three games by 8.30am no problem. Got to the front of the phone queue just as the browser let me in. Now tomorrow on the other hand.... On a side issue, does the swiping of the fancards mean that touting is dying out-surely with the death of paper tickets touts are screwed?
