All player contracts run to 30th June. There are often so-called loyalty clauses in contracts payable in July so smart agents try to engineer moves after 30th June so they can claim the payments. Many deals are therefore set up in advance but there is then a negotiation between the selling club and the player over these bonuses. Some players who are desperate to leave will waive the sums so they can secure the move quickly but many others will be 99% agreed but can't make announcements or close the deal until the bonuses are sorted.

The RAWK itk's are saying Connor Wyckham is a done deal to go with all the other dead certs. Up to £10m including add-ons supposedly. I guess if it's true that would mean he would replace Ngog and be the back-up to Carroll as a traditional No 9 although Wyckham is quite versatile and has a bit of pace & athleticism to go with his height and build. Not seen enough of him really but the concept is sound.

The interesting thing is that most are agreed on the Outs. I will try and be different and from your list, I would give Agger & Maxi a reprieve but would sell Skretl & Lucas to raise funds. Ins : Santon, Haageland, Phil Jones, Moussa Sissoko, Dufour, Adam, Sanchez, Ashley Young, Honda & Kevin Doyle. Comolli will have his work cut out to finance that lot but all should be available and there could be some cut price deals if Blackburn, Blackpool & Wolves go down, plus Honda will pay for himself in the extra money he will bring in with his fan club.

Haangeland is a very good shout actually, even more so because we have a great prospect coming through the ranks in Andre Wisdom and some experienced heads around him would help him to emerge in the next couple of years. I like Ayala as well, in my opinion he is a much better defender than either Kyrgiakos or Wilson - strong in the air and capable with the ball at his feet. Sell the Greek and Skretl, loan Wilson and buy Haangeland & Phil Jones to compete with Carra, Agger, Ayala & Wisdom.

Cole is a very expensive luxury. He still has some sort of a reputation and is one of those players who some managers think they might get the best out of him so he may have a decent re-sale value in the summer. If so, get rid - he is on the slippery slope and we can do way way better for much less wages
