    HaHa fair enough. Just to try and balance out Code's agenda against Rodgers this was a quote after our draw away to chelsea. Rodgers explained: “In the first half we were a wee bit tentative, which was my fault because we normally play with three up front which allow us to press higher up the field. “We went 3-5-2 and just couldn’t quite press – and that’s a big part of our game. Once we change it we then got more onto the front foot again.” He added: “It was great character from the players yet again. It was a terrific point.”

    Southampton to me are a bit like as Dave has said is his roundups Aston "Vanilla". Ive no real interest in them and don't particularly dislike them. But to sack the manager when there sitting 15th after having back to back promotions, I now hope they go down.

    Was thinking the same thing there doesn't seem to be any also for not playing much recently and being behind "el sulk" he hasn't kicked up at all. Chelsea would definitely have scored more if he played instead of him. The only thing I don't like his his dancing when he scores but I could live with that if he was doing it for us.

    I think he'd be a good addition should be able to hit the ground running straight away which is what we need. The big issue we have is we are not as attractive as we were when we signed Torres & Masch etc. We have to get back in the Champions League and I think he would get goals and assists for us.

    Agree with most of that. Carroll at least put himself about showed some fight and scored important goals as you said. Aqualini I have a fucking massive dislike and I a close second to the ultimate thunder cunt that is Diouf who at the time cost a lot of money, thought he was the dogs bollox when in fact he was FUCKING SHIT an to top it off the way he spat, bitched and moaned his way through his contract here he's a fucking discusting little cunt.     Yes because the league position in Mid January is all important. Oh wait maybe its the position at the end of the season thats more important??? When we get suarez back and he plays with Gerarrd do you think we will finish the season with more points and better goal difference than Newcastle cause I do, and whats important is our league position at the end of season.

    a lot of what you said is spot apart from listing off how we performed for most of the home games which was a pretty harsh assesment. The majority of home games we battered teams for most of the match Norwich in particular it just showed our lack of ability to score. It's only since the second half against City and the Stoke match i'd have serious issues over the tactics and performance up until those games we have been pretty good but toothless.

    im not a big darren bent fan but he's exactly what we need. We have the best defence in the league and create buckets of chances we need someone who can be in the right place at the right time its not carroll or suarez.

    Nail on the head as usual Dave. What still has me in the height of it is Chelsea dropping points at home earlier in the day and we had a real chance to close the gap.
